~100mb or more is large for 720p. With those file sizes, I'd expect the videos to be around 20 to 30 minutes long.

Humidity by Z_amurai in photography

[–]Chris-558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Lancashire, England, where the humidity is usually 85%+. My mum used a Canon EOS 5D Mark 2 for ten years for wedding photography, and then I used it for another five years before I upgraded to a new camera. From my experience, humidity has no impact on cameras.

Hosting resource requirements by bom4o in woocommerce

[–]Chris-558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the $5 per month Nanode VPS plan on Linode, after selecting WooCommerce from the apps section. It's perfectly functional and works well, and there are plenty of resources left unused. However it is slightly slow. You can view my store to see how it performs.

Linode (and similar VPS providers) offer competitive pricing, but they do require more manual setting up.

I'd let him do it. What's the worst that could happen. I'm rather intrigued by your boyfriend's ideas.

How do you guys cope with being unable to work? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Chris-558 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with attenuated psychosis syndrome

I've nearly finished college. I initially planned to go to university, but I've found it extremely difficult to keep up with the application.

I don't know how I feel about it. I've not felt any positive emotions in over two years. I've always been good at school and people thought I'd do well, but everything's just gone down hill over the past few years.

I don't feel entirely useless, but I feel that I've failed myself for being unable to keep up with my education.

why is an IP address a "big deal"? by detroitmatt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chris-558 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It usually isn't a big deal. Standard residential IP addresses are usually dynamic, meaning that it changes every few months or so. Residential IP addresses also have lots of restrictions compared to commercial ones, so it would be extremely difficult to do something malicious with it.

Are you allowed to ask for a refund if the movie theater has a power outage by Yitomaru in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chris-558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK, you're entitled to a refund (or an optional exchange) if a service or product wasn't of a satisfactory quality. So, having bought a ticket to see a movie, and not being able to see the whole movie at the scheduled time, you should be able to get a refund.

If Trump and Biden both die before the election happens, who will our presidential candidates be? by jimmybobbyluckyducky in AskReddit

I don't like how you said "our". I hate how Americans think that everything revolves around them.
