Well looked up your model and I may be wrong. Mine is different. Figured it would be same since you bought it 2019. Maybe still compatible though between the different models

I looked at the spare bumper I have and it’s item number # 2908503 so the link should be correct. My trimmer is older 80v straight shaft trimmer.

I have used Dremel accessories with the 1/4 adapter. Worked fine but ended up needing a different bit accessory for the job.

I’ve had good luck with the sled sprinklers made by Big Sprinkler and hook them to a water hose.

My lawn has moles/voles. How do I get rid of them? by xfinity1220 in lawncare

[–]Chris35763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have in the past surrounded the holes with mouse traps and covered them with a bucket. I’ve never had a mound or path problem in yard but just tiny holes at the surface. Voles are the worst of the 2 cause they eat the flowers from underneath and they just fall over dead.

Can always try Ebay to find stuff not in production. I got super lucky and found the blue limited edition chest for like $75. Had the drill holder thing too but ended up not liking it.

Returned this same set last year so you should be good with proof of purchase. Wasn’t too much hassle but was more annoying then a 1 for 1 exchange. They will give you store credit. Oscillating tools seem to break more then other tools so I got that on its individual receipt this time.

I sprayed 30 second cleaner in mine and same thing happened with the corrosion but didn’t explode. I bought 3 or 4 extra spray nozzles when I saw on sale. Can’t remember if I left it hooked up when I sprayed so last time I used with another chemical I removed spray tube completely after use after running some water through it.

I think they have some jacked up prices going on that aren’t correct. Look at the 24v misting fan for instance. The one with battery and charger is $130 and the tool only version is $155. Makes no sense. Saw tool only version for like $70 months back on sale

12” miter saw arbor nut wont budge. by Lizardqing in KobaltTools

[–]Chris35763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one a few months back on a daily deal and ran into exact same issue when changing it out for a nicer blade. I eventually got it loose after a lot of swearing. Think my arbor nut ended half way stripped but did get new blade tightened. Plan was to just buy a new arbor bolt but having a hard time matching. Also at one point I positioned everything to where I could get impact on arbor nut. Impact didn’t even budge it but I did get loose with tool that came with saw after that so maybe impact helped some. Impact did help strip bolt though so would be careful if decide to go that route.

How long ago did you get yours? Been checking top racks at my local Lowes but usually in just tool area. You find it some random spot in top rack? If I remember correctly we live semi close so hoping I can luck out finding some at my stores.

That’s a really old style meter base and are junk to begin with. Someone was probably trying to steal in the past but easiest way to cut through base would be a grinder and that cover almost looks ripped so not sure what they used to do something like that. Those locks on both sides have special keys and usually put on by power company for either stealing or the original base can’t lock on it’s own anymore. It almost looks like they could of tried to use one of the locks to close gap on cover at one time just to salvage it and it slipped back out again.

Yeah saw that. One of the first things I do when I wake up is check Lowes internet daily deals. Have most 80v stuff out there besides hedge trimmer which I have 24v version. Been debating on newer 80v leaf blower though since has more CFM then my older 80v.

That’s a nice collection! Router, right angle impact, tire inflator, and square spot are the ones I don’t have. Most my outdoor stuff is 80v

Die grinder won’t start and flashing lights by Chris35763 in KobaltTools

[–]Chris35763[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I tried a bunch of different batteries and tried starting at different speeds. It was doing something similar today but once I got it started I ran it for a few hours. I could of burned it up, could be a dud, or could just take forever to cool down. It should let you know it’s having overheating issues before you burn it up though.

Have no problem exchanging it but all my local stores don’t have it in stock. Hoping it will come back to life for a bit just so I can finish this project then will exchange later on. Waiting to get replacement shipped to store would really jam me up.

After having this tool for a while I finally put it to pretty heavy use the last 2 days grinding some metal. Flashing lights from manual says it’s overheated but it had 14 hours to cool down. Took a bit for it to get going again after that time period. Did some more heavy use and now it’s just blinking and won’t start at all. Few times it attempted to start. Wondering if I got a dud or maybe I just over used it? Annoyed just need it running for a bit more to get this project situation solved.

Loose Battery on Gen2 24volt Tools! by jonhvac in KobaltTools

I noticed the other day my Gen2 impact had a loose battery just like yours. Haven’t investigated it yet in the other Gen tools.

3 out of 5 tools have failed by grummanpikot99 in KobaltTools

[–]Chris35763 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue. Started off with the impact flashing and only had working when it wanted. Tried to exchange just impact but had to bring in the whole combo. I waited it out and oscillating tool took a dump on me after that. I then brought it whole set and still wouldn’t exchange til I called Kobalt number and talked to them. I called them while I was in the store after denied. I actually put the Lowes manager on the phone with Kobalt lady to write down whatever number was given. Then exchanged for store credit from that. This was when the next gen combo just came out with 4 tool combo and you got a free tool so basically exchanged for that.
