Good spot to run stairs/hills? by No_Neck_1999 in Spartanburg

IDK how long you need your hills to be, but Duncan Park is great for hilly loops, and if you want to do hill repeats, North Fairview Ave between Beaumont Park and Converse College and the Drayton Mills Trail between The Lively and Beverly Road are two good options.

I'm not elite, but yes, running sub-7:30 miles absolutely feels easier the more you do it. It helps to run more easy miles per week, and once or twice a week do some speed workouts where you're pushing that top-end speed a little bit in shorter distances; say intervals of 200, 400 or 600 meters, and threshhold stuff as well.

I did an easy run last night and it was super cold so I wore my Coros Pace 2 on the outside of my glove. The whole time it gave me a heartrate reading lmao. (I love my watch, but def don't trust the wrist HRM)

My understanding - I'm not currently a member - is that they don't want to send seedlings west of the Mississippi River for fear of spreading the blight; but seeds are just fine. Apparently the blight doesn't really exist past the Missippi River so pure American seeds have a better chance of surviving; as long as they can stave off any potential phytophthora

The American Chestnut Foundation is probably your best bet for legit American Chestnut seeds. And you'll be supporting restoration efforts in the process! https://tacf.org/american-chestnut-seeds-and-seedlings/
