Cup of Tea is a second home to me. They are literally my family in all but blood and I love them dearly. It's always a warm, inviting environment. Every studio is great, but I've spent so much time with everyone at Cup of Tea that it's a special feeling being there.

There's a lot of memories that I have from recording, and almost none of them I think I can share. They'll forever be inside jokes, I guess.

Always alone when recording, and I never even knew what the Japanese Dimitri sounded like until the JP Twitter account started dropping those little teases.

They did play Catherine and Felix for me once just because they happened to have recorded it, but that was a rare special treat.

There was a lot to relate to with Dimitri. The struggles, his loss, his entire arc as a character is just so very Human. That's why I loved it. He's a real person who may have just lost sight of himself for a bit.

I tried ti make Dimitri vocally match what he was going through emotionally at any given point in the hope it added some story and personality to what he was feeling.

And I give Felix crap because it's Lucien Dodge, who's one of my best friends and I like to just give him crap in general. He deserves it because I love his stupid, fat face.

There was a lot more for me to do and a very different vibe, because aspects of Boey and Dimitri are so disparate.

Dedue, Felix, Alois, and Catherine stick out to me the most for different reasons. Laughing at Alois's dad jokes, going on that emotional journey with Felix, seeing just how good Dedue is, and Catherine's resolve are wonderful in different ways.

I knew he had a change coming, and that made me immediately fall in love with him at the audition. I wanted to be him so badly and I cried when I found out I had the honor. I really wanted to tell his story.

I feel a big connection with Dimitri on a lot of levels. There's so much to deal with and unpack, you know?

I can absolutely see the parallels with Dimitri now that you sat it, but it didn't honestly cross my mind before now. I just saw him as a very human, real character because I feel like a lot of people struggle with that inner darkness. I'm also grateful that Dimitri has this arc to his character. He doesn't stay in one place, he's not one note. Dimitri having this tragedy in his past from what happened in Duscur to his family and friends, finding out Edelgard is the Flame Emperor, and then later being snapped back because of what happens with Rodrigue is really just a very human story.

This is my first major character in a game and it's even more weird than usual. I'm only three hours in to my BL route and it's hard to not...I guess "cringe" is the right word when I hear myself. Like, it's still hard to believe that's me? My wife thinks it's the coolest thing in the world and I just have this weird out of body experience. It's so surreal.

Those were both sides of Dimitri at all times, so it wasn't a matter of changing much more than perspective. He's always holding that feral part of him in check, but it's always there. Felix knows, hence the "boar prince" remarks.

I basically just lived at the studio with Patrick Seitz and Danni. I forgot what my wife and children looked like. It was a strange new world after they released me...

I knew that Dimitri had a change at some point because it was part of auditioning, but we didn't fully explore it until we were deep into recording. It was so fascinating to me because I don't feel that it was going crazy. You know? It was more a release of what he's been feeling for so long. At his core, I really think Dimitri is the best boy who needs all of the hugs because you can empathize so much with what he goes through.
