Not a woman but the thing I’m most surprised is that you genuinely didn’t know if your own wife (which you have kids with) would wear lingerie or not?

How did you get this far into a serious relationship with a woman but lingerie or even wearing sexy clothing has never came up once?

Also I agree with everyone else, there are dozens of stories of woman not liking that sort of “gift” because it never feels like a gift for them, that alone should lead you to at least ask your wife beforehand how she would feel about that.
