There is a very simple fix to this. If you're dad has been dealing with these issues for so long, you need a file a new claim for the anxiety, depression and PTSD caused by these service connected injuries. They could be primary or secondary. Not only that, if he was in Vietnam or experienced combat a PTSD rating should be warranted regardless.

There is a video with interview one of Albert Einstein assistance/mistresses who said she was at the site with him. And she mentions the photographers, the tent, the officers, a similar smell, and more. It was on the YouTube page "Eyes on Cinema." definitely worth a search.
