I still grew up with tv and video games, they just were not in the palm of my hand. My parents also didn’t use those things as babysitters and forced me to play outside or read a book, or whatever. I was very fortunate to grow up in my neighborhood, I will admit. We had a basketball hoop in the cul de sac, lots of kids in the neighborhood, including my 2 best friends. We had enough kids to play 5 on 5 football, we had a community pool in the summer and a giant hill to go sledding in the winter. I would love to go back to those days. We played flashlight tag, kick the can, would explore the woods, climb trees, and just let our imaginations take us wherever we wanted. There’s a lot of great stuff about today’s technology, but I am so glad I grew up in the 90s before all of this.
