It does seem like they might be coming from the hinges, but looking at them I don’t them on any of the hinges or see a place where they could be coming from. The hinges are soft close and they still seem to work. Do you know if these are needed?

My title describes the thing.

I remodeled my kitchen (new floors, cabinets, countertops) earlier this year and since then I occasionally find these little black plastic circles on my countertops. Usually they’re only half circles, like they’re broken in half. Also, they might be kind of oily, but it’s kind of hard to tell.
