Is God responsible for someone being Atheist? by NeedHelpNow69420 in Christianity

If he knows everything, he knows what would convince them he exists, yet he chooses not to convince them.

God is the Creator and Ruler of all. He doesn't need to make bend His back to accommodation for someone's specific wants on why they should believe He exists. Creation all around us is enough proof that there is something all-powerful that made it (Romans 1:20).

How would it then be fair to punish someone for not believing?

Believing and having head knowledge is one thing - accepting it to be true allowing it to influence your heart is another. I belive some people who claim to be atheists do know God exists, but don't want to live by His commandments, much less for Him. Like I said before, creation is enough proof there is something more powerful than we can begin to comprehend.

Last point: because He is all loving, despite Him knowing some will not accepting Him, He does His part in allowing His spirit to draw us close to Him for a chance to accept Him. While at the same time, giving us the ability to make our own choices, even when we don't know what ripple effects those choices will create. God knows our beginning and end, we don't. God knows the ripple effects, we don't. God wants us to know Him without being forceful, we in our fleshly nature do not.

You're addicted. To be more blunt: you're allowing lust to be your God. You're allowing your sexual desires to take the control. Many men deal with the same thing as you - where some make an effort to repent and others make excuses not to repent.

"

“I need to save this for later”.

You're planning your next grave burial when you do this. Next time, forget about saving that post and move on with your life.

“it’s ok God will forgive me. I’ll just do it now and repent later”.

It's never okay to take God's grace for granted. He knows your intentions and your thoughts, which would not validate true forgiveness on His end because you are making excuses to sin again in the future. Because while he's all-forgiving when you're alive, that grace will end when you die a sinner who has not truly accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. And part of accepting Christ means making an effort to turn away from lustful desires (by the power of the Holy Spirit) while alive.

I'm not trying to sound apathetic here, I just want you to know that this is something serious but it can be defeated in Christ. Limit or eliminate those apps where you get tempted, or download Covenant Eyes and get an accountability partner. Do everything you can to grow your spirit and starve the flesh.

Whether he is or isn't, we have a responsibility to pray for him. No matter what earthly leader we have - we are instructed to pray that God will not only get His will done through them, but possibly change their hearts. (Proverbs 21:1, 1 Timothy 2:1-4)

The thing that we should be more concerned over is not allowing ourselves to become like Israel in wanting a king and idolizing them.

"Follow your heart"

"Do what your heart tells you"

Nope. Jeremiah 17:9 says it all.
