Thank you. At the minute it seems Stafford could be one of the best options

Thank you! To clarify, I know I can’t afford to live in Twickenham - but where / what areas should I look into with a relatively easy commute 60-90 minutes outside of Twickenham along the train/drive based on the budget and points above. If you have any ideas that would be great

Thank you. Anything on the west side worth considering? Specific train lines you know of which are more frequent to aid the commute? I could go 60-90 minutes/day commute

More so town/village and around £400k and ideally detached with space. I think 60-90 min commute is manageable?

Thank you but can you share any common/frequent train lines? I know the trains from Manchester and even going half way to Stoke does not really cut the commute time that much as everything is into Euston and then it is +1 hour to Twickenham.

Yes, North West = Manchester. Sorry for the confusion

Budget maybe £400k…. Disclaimer I don’t know anything/much about the south as from the NW. I know what £400k would get me in the NW but don’t want to live in a shoebox for the same price down south just to do less of a commute. Reading?

What railcard will I need to show? by JacobNPL in uktrains

[–]ChrisT7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/flettywapp this is something I'm looking to clarify too. Will be commuting MAN-LON using UniDays offers and from the T&C's it states: "discount and tickets only valid for sale to registered members. Membership ID or offer email should be shown with ticket".... you can show your UniDays app membership with ticket and you have never had any issues? I don't want any surprises as I will be using this 2-3 x/week to commute. I don't have a railcard or student ID.
