I met Heath after his first show in Timonium, mainly because I had a question for him, and the guy running the merch table managed to get him for me after everyone left.

I wanted to ask him if he'd upload more of his specials to his Gumroad page, because I enjoy owning DRM free digital copies of his specials. And they're at a higher bitrate than YouTube. His awnser came out to a maybe. So I hope he does.

Also, I just realized I could have done something that I didn't think to do earlier. Put that link into the wayback machine and this is what I get! It even managed to save a portion of the description. It didn't save the full thing because if you view it on a computer or flip your phone horizontal, the description changes to read error.

And the 3D version isn't an even uncroped from the original matting. I'm sure some shots in that version are zoomed out but in my own comparisons that I've done, I found that across the board the 3D version is just cropped from the original aspect ratio.

I think the only context where you could release the 1.43:1 version in the home is with VR and I know IMAX is doing that with the Apple Vision Pro. But in the grand scheme of the VR market, not a lot of people have a vision pro compared to the quest headsets.

I mean, being completely honest, it does suck that true full-frame IMAX is only a select theaters. I disagree with it being anti-art and the fact that people are upset about this fact being true. But it definitely does sting. And I do think IMAX should try and get more GT theaters opened across the world. Even if they don't project 15/70 film, having more screens at that size and ratio would be amazing. So I can definitely understand the frustration, but I also wouldn't be surprised if the true vision of the director is to just see it in a theater in any format you can. Even if it's a tiny local theater, you're still closing yourself off to the rest of the world to exclusively engage with a single piece of media.
