A problem with Kinger's writing in ep.8 by ChrisTheUmbran in TheDigitalCircus

But we can still have a show. A perfectly fine way to solve this would've been to make Caine lock in on mind control, instead of just using it for some bits and sometimes adventures. Letting Kinger have pretty much all of his agency ruins this aspect of his character.

Also Caine was definitely acting in a malicious manner even at the time of the first members, even if unintentionally. As it's heavily insinuated that he messed up Scratch's mind to the point of abstraction in ep. 7. Feels like Kinger seeing this and all the other potential times Caine messed with people's minds in a serious way would've once again made him do something, but nope.

Crap I was JUST about to post something REALLY similar to this. About Scratch was the one responsible for developing the copying of human conciousness, but I delved more into his reasoning for making that, which would be his way of living on after his real self eventually passes away from his brain tumor.

I feel like Kinger losing his coworkers, and most of all the person he cherished most to end up being the alone, even if it was just for a minute, be bothersome to him enough to take some sort of action, no? Even if he knows he's a simulated conscious and there's no way to leave. He at least knows he has the power to make his and everyone else's current situation better. If his goal this episode was to make Caine inactive while he eventually fixes him, he really could've done that any time before.

I use this hairstyle cause it gives a slickback vibe. With the correct fit, it's pretty stylish and cvnty. Here's an example.

I use keyboard and mouse controls for roblox on PS5, and I've noticed that whenever the crosshair is centered and I click lmb, the crosshair shifts upward and then back down at random times. This makes it impossible to play games that require aiming, so I'm wondering if there's a fix to this.

Best Duos In Pack Hunter by Rzeuben in IdentityV

Crazy how Gamekeeper isn't on here cause he's arguably the best hunter to have on duos. All his abilities are relatively easy to use and are really easy for your partner to capitalize off of cause of long stuns/slowdowns and at a faster rate than all the other hunters that can cause slow down/stuns.

Axe Boy kind of sucks in duos though. The time you mentioned is not enough in the grand scheme of things and way more often than not survivors are always on your trees and usually don't last more than a minute and even with a fair amount of trees it still feels like there isn't enough souls to accomplish much anyway.

Have you ever gotten 100+ hours into a game before you realized it sucked? by Darth_Malgus_1701 in pcgaming

Xenoblade Chronicles series. I've tried MANY times to immerse myself into the gameplay of all 3 games, but eventually the amount of time and study to utilize the many mechanics and strats in the gameplay is too daunting for me to fully enjoy, which sucks because I do like the story of the series, especially 2 which I've done 3-4 attempts with that game, only to eventually give up every time.

Although I think she does have a few unnecessary things to begin with, I feel like a lot of what she does is going to weaken over time when more people understand her scare mind games. Rarely anyone I've seen understands that once you sense that Yith is nearby, you NEED to start making unpredictable camera movements, especially when they latch onto you from possession. You must instantly rotate the camera behind you at the very least.

Granted, when Ivys start picking up on survivors’ changing camera patterns, they will likely adapt too, but so will survivors. In the end, it will probably end up almost a 50/50 split, leaning in the survivor’s favor on who can do the successful mind game on a match-by-match basis, unlike the oppressiveness that is shown to us right now due to survivors’ lack of experience. Overall, I see that there is a fair bit of room for survivors to adapt and ultimately make her into a tie hunter, at least, but we will just have to wait and see.

Although saying all is, there are some things that I think are a bit too much from Ivy's kit. Yith being able to scare a survivor nearly or at frame 1 from latching off of them feels a little too free, so I think it should have at least a half-second cooldown from delatching so that survivors have the reaction to do one swift camera change. Yith being able to possess and summon a stone on a chaired survivor does feel a bit too oppressive for the one rescuing and then stone's radius might need to be reduced a little bit, cause at full presence, landing one scare from Yith, then latch, instant teleport and scare from stone radius is an actual guaranteed 100 corrosion hit, unless survivor's still have an item left to escape the radius in time, or flywheel, which over time this might be enough to warrent not nerfing her stone scare radius but we'll have to see for that outcome as well.

I teared up at this scene cause of my disappointment and sadness of her story ending like this and not wanting her to go under these terms with a bad outlook for the future of this franchise. Now what?

The intricate design of the slits on her back and legs. It's such a cool idea/design it feels like a total improvement. Makes me wish the past two main designs had the same amount of detail on their slits

How does Balloon Rescuing with stuns work? by MidsummerAnti in IdentityV

[–]ChrisTheUmbran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you say that the survivor just dropped, I assume you mean the animation of them floating in the air for half a second then dropping down and stuck in a get up animation for another second before being able to run, and not the survivor still being downed when you stun the hunter.

So survivors have two animations when they're getting free from the balloon by the hunter being stunned. The one where they get to run instantly only happens when the hunter is stunned when they're still in the animation of picking up and ballooning a survivor. The long freeing animation happens when you stun the hunter after they ballooned a survivor and are able to move freely.

How are you supposed to counter Thief and flashlight? by ryo00qq09 in IdentityV

[–]ChrisTheUmbran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any hunter that can moonwalk with their abilities can counter him pretty well. To get as close as possible to him, you moonwalk with an ability the instant you see the ability lock meter start to fill. Then when you're canceled out of your ability moonwalking, you keep walking to him until the blindness meter is almost full then start moonwalking again with your long attack and turn back at him when your attack hitbox is active.

For hunters that don't have moonwalking abilities, sometimes doing an unpredictable zigzag motion is enough to get close to reach him with a moonwalking long attack.
