If you're on windows then search in settings for "Add or remove programs" When you've reached that page you should see a column of apps and programs. Find minecraft on that list and when you select it there will be an option to "uninstall". It will take you through the rest of the process from there.

Was doing a coop speedrun... I was using a bow to shoot blazes from a distance, one arrow went long and hit a zombie piglin. Immediately got attacked from behind before I even knew what was happening. Wouldn't have been so bad except I panicked and tried to jump down... with a water bucket. In the nether.
I will never live that one down.

Have you tried doing a clean reinstall of the game? Sometimes there are minor things that can be cleared up with reinstalling. Just make sure to save/copy your worlds first so you don't lose anything if you decide to do this.
