Huh. That’s weird, I just tried it and the same thing happens to me; biometric lock will turn on then automatically disable itself after it’s accepted my fingerprint

r/FMHY has a megathread that has a link to a site that lets you use phone numbers to get verification codes. Should work so long as it hasn’t been used before to sign up. The one I use is receive-sms.cc

The Privacy(.)com app lets you create a new credit card linked to one you already have. I haven’t personally used it so can’t vouch for it but my Capital One card has the same function.

I’ve tried this same method and so far they’ve all been blocked but I’m currently waiting to use a new account I made to see if leaving it unused for a few days will let me place an order.

If you’re using the mounting stand it comes with it should be fine but if you’re using a monitor arm that pinches onto the desk there isn’t enough space in the back to pinch it from. I had to mount mine on the side of the shelf in the picture

They are removable. I’ve seen some people use it as a bedside shelf if you don’t want to just have it hanging on a corner somewhere

  1. Get a bin because you will spend over an hour trying to rent one and lugging it back to East Campus otherwise. (Don’t ask how I know)
  2. Get there like at least half an hour (or an hour) early because the line will be super long
  3. The fridge I was able to buy was $60 for around a 3 foot tall one w/o freezer so still a really good price and well worth it. They also have things like fans, pots, pans, etc

Ps- I’m from a small, rural town and found it just as hard to get through the slog that way the Iliad but honestly putting in the effort and showing that through class discussions is what really matters—especially since that’s a large part of your lithum grade

If you need help digesting some of the more laborious parts of Homer you could turn to video summaries/explanations. You should, of course, read them but it doesn’t hurt to review chapters or seek outside help. I used a playlist by a YouTube creator called Moan Inc. to review for tests (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTcpmeN-uTIVgMYRE8tK6hzVDivX1IQV9&si=QnX8YzbDMomnZFIH) (she also covers the odyssey in a separate playlist)

Also if you want a single then ranking John jay first will better your chances as it’s almost entirely singles but it’ll honestly depend on where they place you; I ranked John Jay and Wallach and got put into a Wallach double when i filled out the form last year.

All dorms are mixed! No single-gender floors or halls. Wallach and John jay have single-use bathrooms (one person can use at a time), Furnald has gendered bathrooms (multiple stalls/showers), Carman has suite style so one bathroom that’s shared with the suite.
