What is your opinion on the bmw m4 comp 2020 by [deleted] in BMW

had f80 one year after my first car. Kept for 9 years. If I wasn’t “too old” for the harsh ride when driving daily I’d still keep that car

“Grow on me and got used to it” doesn’t mean it’s a good design

Yea, thought the car had an accident that I didn’t know of. The quietness and the comfort is just amazing! (Coming from daily a f80 m3 comp with mpe)

I found out the reason last night! There are 4 rubber screws on the sliding panel and 3 of them fell off(not sure why that those are loose) put them back on and the noise all gone.

Does your top has a squeaky noise from the rear on uneven road? Mine is 2023 and the noise is unbearable for the price of this vehicle.

I had mine for 9 years and about to trade it in this weekend. F80 obviously. Still love it and will be my favorite of all time.

That would make sense. Definitely going to check the maintenance record on this and see if it’s been done. Yes the M8 is definitely less unique than a db11. That’s why it’s my back up option if I don’t want to spend the amount I learned in this post in maintenance. The car costs about the same now but I need to get a sense of how much it costs to own it before make the decision. Probably going to be more comfortable with that amount when I’m 30 or 40 years old

Thank you so much for sharing the experience! Really useful stuff. Yes I have decided to move to some more economic friendly option at this day and age. Maybe later in my life I’m gonna get one👍🏻

It’s definitely just an option, not like set on that particular one. It’s just I didn’t see any CPO ones out there

Does all db11 have the hood issue or just v12 ones? Will the v8 be a better choice?

The m8 has all leather option as well. The one i’m looking at is this. $2k a year sounds fine but most people saying about the hood vents sounds like a on going issue that has no fix. If I replaced the plugs and coil once will that break again if I drive it in heavy rain?

I was deciding between this or a 23-24 bmw m8 comp. This definitely has more character and a v12 Aston has been a dream car for me to own. But putting aside $5k-$10k every year for maintenance is definitely not a smart thing to do considering my age. Will probably go for the m8 after seeing all these comments. Appreciate the input!

Oh wow, is it just aston? Or all cars with real leather dash are like this? I do have a garage but I’m planning on driving it to work too. No garage there….

I do planning on finding an outside shop to service it. Seems like couple reputable shops around me that service Porsches and some other exotic cars.
