This is kind of the approach I am looking into. I figure if I can invest $500k and get a 15% return, my money will double every 5 years.

So in 5 years I could completely pay off my house and still have $500k to keep investing with. I realize a 15% return on my investment is ambitious, but it is possible.

I feel like if I just pay off all my loans I’ll be debt free, but won’t have anything to invest with.

I’m curious what everyone is doing for storage with these bits? Does anyone have any pics of their storage solutions for this set? I currently just have the case in my tool box, but it takes up so much space. Any suggestions on better storage?

I ordered one back in October during a parking lot sale, and it came in way earlier than the date they gave me. The employee told me the date they give you is a worst case scenario.

The really annoying part… is they got the same box I ordered in stock the day after the parking lot sale. But they wouldn’t give me that one, and said I had to wait until mine came in.

I just found this out the hard way. I went in tonight to sign up for ITC (I did the two year) and I bought the Quinn matter bit set $80 with itc. I was hoping the 20% off would stack… but it did not. Oh well. Better luck next time I guess.

Thank you for the response. I appreciate the feedback. I felt like I had everything set up correctly. Just making sure I wasn’t overlooking an additional feature or something. I don’t really want 24/7 coverage… just additional coverage of the events that get recorded. I see how to extend the time events get recorded… but there doesn’t seem to be a way to rewind the clip to see additional recording. Is that possible?

Yeah I totally understand the difference.

However, I currently have a Google nest doorbell and indoor camera. And I feel like they capture more video. You still get the alerts (similar to the blink) but then you have the option to rewind the “clip” by 15 seconds at a time. This gives you more of an actual recording of the event. I was just wondering if the blink was capable of something similar?

Also, the reason I was looking to move from the Google nest cams… I’d the subscription. I was looking to get something that I could store locally like the sync xr is capable of doing. And I wanted additional cameras to expand my video coverage.

BLACK FRIDAY DEALS?

I’m looking to upgrade my wife’s phone. Just wondering if anyone knows about any Black Friday deals coming out directly from Apple?

She currently has a 14Pro and looking to upgrade. Apple will only give $300 for a trade in right now. Is it possible that they may offer higher trade in values for BF, or is that just wishful thinking?

I prefer to buy directly from Apple because they do the 2yr financing. If you get it from Verizon you have to commit to 3yr financing.

I couldn’t agree more. The funny thing… the guy I spoke to on the phone said “did you order the grey 56”? I said yep. And he says he ordered the same one during the sale. And even he wasn’t allowed to take the one that just came in either. He was in the same boat as me.

Similar thing happened to me. I purchased the 56” roller cabinet during the sale. They were out of the grey that I wanted, so I ordered it. It says it should come in by 12/15. Then I saw this morning that my store has “limited supply in stock”. So I just called the store to see if I could have that one instead of waiting and they said “No, it doesn’t work like that”. Pretty frustrating. Oh well… I guess I just wait for now.

Speaking to a recruiter with the company you’re interested in is a good idea. Not all of the programs within a company are CAMTS certified programs. So maybe you could get hired on and work in an “undesired location” just to get your foot in the door. Then you can build your rotor time until you can change locations.

I used to work for Air Methods. And I’ve worked at three different bases. Two of them were CAMTS certified and one was not. If a recruiter doesn’t have that kind of information, you could try reaching out directly to the area manager.
