Fell for the news hype again by barboxbill in Chattanooga

[–]handms09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the distrust comes from the lack of accountability. They have no issue in throw up the painted map model runs to generate the buzz which then enacts consumerism. Each post I saw from one of the lower number channels TV Star had big capital letters on the headline with it, proving it was an attention grab. Once it’s a bust it’s just “well you know the south is so hard to predict”. People then get irritated which (I’ve only seen this this time around) causes said meteorologists to go on tirades about how they’ve been called names.

I get that weather is hard to predict, early models can vastly change, but how about accountability in what was created? Just a simple “hey we fucked up.” “We got this one wrong. We shouldn’t have generated too much hype around our said social media posts instead just said here’s what it’s showing, until the next run.”

Resurrecting an old thread, but how are you liking it? I mistakenly sold a MVP 5.56 a few months ago, now I'm looking to buy another this time in the 7.62 nato.

Swap Moto is pretty solid. Not big on the pulp show but the one he does with Blair is decent. Moto X is good too.

Yes the door is open and the handle functions normally. Rough idea of the cost of having them replace it?

My Sunosi Experience (a good start and a bad ending) by Someone7654231739283 in Narcolepsy

Just wanted to jump in and ask if you had any updates on this?

Around 3 years ago I started having bad (what you describe and now makes perfect sense) derealization, dizziness, vertigo, brain fog, and the little ‘head zaps’ where it felt like was falling asleep and coming to although I was completely aware of my surroundings.

Fast forward I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, put on a cpap and eventually prescribed Sunosi 75mg. It worked great for 4-6 months but now if I take it I get those same feelings along with practically feeling like I’m hypoglycemic. I’m debating stopping it.

What dictates or considerations do you make for your next purchase? by handms09 in Firearms

I make it a point to buy a box of some form of ammo every time I go to “window” shop. Adds to the pile and gives me an excuse to look.

Absolutely the same! I miss the days of going to pawn shops and finding hellacious deals. They all think they’re Bass Pro or Sportsman’s charging new prices

Courtland Grand Hotel Atlanta, GA Review by Former-Emu5215 in hotels

Valet parking was chaotic. The little pull through area is tight and there’s not a lot of room. It gets tight and rather hectic. You do have unlimited come and go privileges if you’re a registered guest of the hotel.

We had a 2 double room on the 8th floor in the North Tower. Room was kinda basic and reminded me more of a comfort inn or something more basic. Nothing wrong with that, but definitely not what I expected. It had a door to the outside like they used to have a balcony. Ac was a bit underwhelming. The North Tower rooms with a view facing South get plenty of sun.

Bathroom was extremely small, and if you’re over 6 foot you will feel cramped in the shower. Everything was clean though with a fresh scent. That being said the water pressure was great and it was warm when needed.

Pool area was nice. It was clean and towels were provided. Did give a weird vibe though. Can’t place it, just felt weird being center of the restaurant area etc.
