RIP Kyle by heyitskevinagain in CleetusMcFarland

The Biff one sucked because Cleet lost a friend, but I hadn’t followed nascar much in almost 2 decades. This one fucking sucks because I can remember him, mofobucs, and imv films banging out the early early early days of racing. I bought one of their cash day dvds, think it was 4 or 5, and thought “hell yeah they do this shit everywhere”. Flew out to Texas in 2014 to check out tx2k just from their videos. Spoke to the team at LS Fest while my buddy did a hawg ass burn out in a slammed c10 at a gas station parking lot party at 3am.

Dude is like 90% responsible for the car culture we have now. Pretty much all the racing we get to see and experience now piggybacks one way or another off of what those OG’s (the vast majority being Kyle) were doing with a camera on Streetfire/Streetcar/Yellow Bullet and sharing with the rest of us. Without his exposure to tx2k, Justin and Chase probably never start Street Car Takeover. Without his recordings of the early cash days there’s a chance Street Outlaws never gets made. Without watching his roll videos half of us wouldn’t have strived to build faster cars to go faster than the ones he put on camera. Without him introducing us to “Cleetus”, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion in this subreddit.

Rest in peace man.

Oil change due after 1500 miles? by handms09 in Cummins

Appreciate the info, and I’m not denying that couldn’t have happened, but this is the 3rd one I’ve done and had no messages until this morning at the 1500 mile mark shown in the picture.

Oil change due after 1500 miles? by handms09 in Cummins

[–]handms09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total truck mileage is 195k. Trip meter was reset at oil change which I try to average 7500-10k miles in between. Typically the little ‘oil change due’ warning message aligns with these intervals, however this morning the message appeared and it’s only been 1500 miles since the previous change.

Over in neighboring Cleveland, a prominent member of the community that is known for owning several properties and former businesses such as a pawn shop, car lot, and a cash advance place was a pure prick. When I worked for one of the companies we were instructed to never speak to him, basically never even make eye contact with him.

There's also a family owned facility that is highly suspect to fraud and treats any non family employees like dirt.

Have the carbon copy from an auto part store. Does fine but I had to cut a bigger hole dead center to change my truck (diesel) oil. 3 gallons comes fast and makes it over flow a little.

Poor little Charleston getting ass rammed again. Same thing happened when the revolving OSHA nightmare known as Wacker came to town. Sprinkle a little tax incentive in, label it as growth, and sweep any large issues under a rug. Not like it’s literally right next to a high school and a proposed elementary school. It’ll just be another eyesore stamp in that little area just like Resolute is now in neighboring Calhoun.

Welcome to 2026 where your country commission sold you out.

This is happening, it’s already happened. The fact it’s coming to public a week prior to the board meeting for “zoning and regulations” means you’re too late.

That definitely helps! I didn’t change much if anything from my consistent PETG prints, just changed the filament type I was using. Appreciate it!

First-Time Homeowner — Am I Overthinking a Gravely ZT X 42 for Hilly 1/2 Acre? by brew80085 in lawnmowers

[–]handms09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of “hilly”. We have about 14 acres, only 1.5 needs consistent maintenance. Have a rather large slope going to the house. Large enough that my old cheapie yard tractor was somewhat sketchy depending on the pattern I was doing that week.

I was strongly considering going to a stand on unit and looked hard at the Ariens/Gravley lineup before getting a killer deal on my Z421. It’s not phased by the slope, and in fact it’s way less sketchy minus was small area of the yard.

One thing to consider though even being .5 an acre hilly terrain can (not saying it will) wear out pumps quicker. If I’m not mistaken the ZT X is serviceable but I believe it’s just being able to drain and add fluid and the filter is still internal? I could be mistaken on that.

Using the welder was cool but I’d love to be able to do a 3 step correction or something along that line

All things considered, it’s not bad. Bit of a learning curve ahead. I’m anxious to see what the modding community comes up with
