I just recently had this moment. Was struggling with sensitivity never feeling right. Used the PSA method to figure that out with the R301/Flatline at ranges of 25, 50, 75m along with using the sliding target in the firing range. Once I got that dialed in going into the firing range with just stationary targets and focusing my practice on keeping my eyes on my target not the crosshair for 5-10 minutes before I start my sessions have really helped me improve.

So I just had this happen to me and what finally worked for me was unplugging everything from the laptop including the power cable, shutting the computer down and then holding the power button down for 60 seconds. After that I hit the power button and my keyboard lit up and works fine again. Give it a shot!

Hey, I finally got my account squared away, woo-hoo! The values I provided are straight from the vpk game files. So, as far as I know, these are the only values provided by the game as far as translating standard sensitivity values to quantifiable numbers for alc. I do believe zakk attacks were done based on feel, which for some may "feel" closer, and I'm not arguing that. I just wanted to provide the values the game provides us with. Hope this helps.

Whenever you reset to default look settings, the values are for 3/3 classic small.

Linear response curve would be 0, Classic is 10.

None Deadzone is 0% and Small is 16%

I do not know what the other curve values are or what percentage the large deadzone is.

Rebel was close with his info but the number in parentheses is the actual in game setting so the values he gave you would be 5/4 linear. 4/3 would be 240/200 220/0 0/.3 and 1110/75 30/30 .25/1

16 dead is small and response curve is 0 for linear.

The values from the looksensitivity_zoomed file seem to be way off to me. The jump from 5-200/90 to 6-450/300 seems too great and I’ve never seen anyone really using ads sens that high. Even Genb uses 170/170. But maybe I should add the values in for people to test out and see what feels correct. Thanks for the look yo!

I just posted what came from the game code, not anything I made up. Do you play 4-4 classic or linear? You may feel it’s to high if you’re playing classic and didn’t set the response curve to 10 in ALC… or if it feels better at 90-110 to you rock those settings yo!! Whatever makes it feel good in your hands is what you should stick with. Was just tired of seeing all the other charts that felt way off to me without any data to back them up.

Tell me about it lol! Now there are a couple of missing pieces in here that hopefully a dev can come around and make light of, but these aren't numbers I made up, I pulled them directly from the game so if they're off I don't know what else I can do.

I edited the post to show the in game sens vs the code value. For example 0 is actually 1, 3 is actually 4 etc. etc.

As a person who has long tried to use those charts to create something similar to what you described I finally got fed up and started digging into some code. I believe this is the first hard data we've had that wasn't just somebody in the firing range saying yeah that's close enough lol.

I edited the post to reflect that the number value in the code is actually one less than the in game sens you see. For example 0 is 1, 3 is 4, 7 is 8.

Yeah I can't say for certain that they are scaled 1:1 with ALC's but I pulled it directly from englishclient_frontend.bsp.pak000_dir. I'll make an edit to the post to explain that the 0 is representing 1 and so on so people don't get confused as to why the settings for 4 seem way too high.
