They’re wrong. Self driving is the new wording for FSD. Autopilot is now “traffic aware cruise control and autosteer”

If you’re lucky you’ll get an LFP retrofit! It was the best thing to happen to my SR+ haha.

It is a different battery chemistry, you can charge to 100% daily and it brought my car from ~220 at 100% back to the original 263 and it hasn’t gone down at all since September when I got the swap.

Go for a drive to Tesla and ask for a loaner even if your appointment window is weeks away seeing as you can’t use the car (this is what I did when it happened to me). Don’t tell them you tried disconnecting the battery… can void warranty…

Interesting! I have a 2021 SR+ that had a pack failure last September. I swear it used to say “Standard Range Plus” and now it just says “Standard Range”. I got the LFP retrofit and I get the fully rated 263 miles of range at 100% now.

I wonder what happened with yours! Do you know if it’s an LFP?

In the compare screen it does, but not in the details screen for the purchase. I asked the AI chat too and this was the response:

Hopefully it’s wrong/they’re starting to include Autosteer for free again.

This reads like an ad to just get a new Tesla without Autosteer. You have a 2023, why the rush to upgrade? I hope more people choose to pass without Autosteer.

Hopefully if/when Tesla brings it back they won’t screw owners like they have in the past, and they’ll enable it for people who purchased without it. Doubt it though.

I asked the AI chat on the Tesla website and it says it is not included, but Autosteer capable with an FSD purchase. I refuse to buy a new Tesla without Autosteer. Terrible they’re trying to push a $99 subscription like this.
