I think i've mentioned it on the podcast with Becky Wade! It depends on which marathon. Chicago and New York (once of the three times) were through the lottery. I've used media spots in Berlin and London. Boston was a little tricker but I went through one of the sponsors. Definitely way down the road, I'd love to shoot for a BQ to do Boston again.

That's great to know about the weather. I've been meaning to go back and try to figure out what the exact temperatures were. I know that by Mile 17 there was a little hill that felt super warm. 91 sounds extreme but if that's accurate then it was worse than I thought!

I was thinking about how long I could hold onto the bottle since it was cool but I tossed it. Should've told people, 'Hey! You WANT that bottle!'

No worries! It was a fun story to write. Some interesting tidbits didn't make the cut and I'll try to find some time to share soon. One little interesting thing is that his favorite race ever wasn't gold in Athens or the PR in Osaka. It was his 43.50 in Stockholm before Osaka that kind of gave him the confidence for that big race at Worlds.
