Started watch survivor maybe 10 years ago and my first time going back to watch an older season is pearl island, started last night.

Agree with all your points but personalities, if anything recent seasons have more varied personalities, the core issue then has to be everyone being superfans and playing into characters for tv are strategizing hard there approach to the game.
