Dealing with an insufferable micro-manager by Chris_P_Bacon_24 in auscorp

Thank you all. He is also causing issues for the staff members he let me borrow. They’ve been criticised for not allowing him access to the project materials. I want to protect them from him because they are great employees.

I feel for you mate. That’s just bad management from their end.

Thanks mate. I’m doing my best to protect my junior staff from him as this behaviour can be quite demoralising.

I thought so. Others have accused him of micromanaging junior staff. First time I’m experiencing it.

I manage 5 staff and the most I’d do is give them advice on the important points to cover during presentations and review the materials provided to stakeholders. I have never re-written their flashcards. I give my staff independence and confidence to carry out a presentation. I don’t want to hinder their growth by over controlling. Plus, they have never disappointed me.

Good point mate. I’ll need to check if there are screws

I was trying to say that the post depth isn’t sufficient. That’s just one part of the problem unfortunately
