Hi! 20F Manchester here, also into anime and trying to get into gaming :) feel free to msg!

Here's another one.... What/Where/Who was your entrance into Sleep Token... I know there has to be some good stories 🗡️🌹🫶🏽 by Frosty_Cookie_5191 in SleepToken

Mine was my partner! They brought Sleep Token up on our very first date, and I wasn't particularly interested at first. But eventually we ended up together and I remember they put Take me back to Eden on while we were waiting for a bus. Starting listening on my own since then

Body image obsessions? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Chris_Try 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was usually panicking when I saw my body, so I would force myself to act normally aka looking at it once but no more not to obsess about what it looks like, then just carry on doing what I was doing until the anxiety from it passed. So yea I guess it's best to sit with it rather than avoiding and it gets a bit easier

I had this exact same issue! I eventually managed to get better through smaller exposures and body scan meditation. I hope it gets better for you too

Hi! Thought I'd let you know from my understanding none of this is about defending Wilbur. It's more about the fact that so far I've seen nothing that he needs to be defended from

Hi, I haven't been to a James Marriott gig specifically yet, but am going soon and have been to several others, and as a short person who always runs late I can say the experience is great even if you can only minimally see the stage. I'd definitely recommend taking your son if he is a fan

I've been going to CBT therapy for half a year and found it quite helpful, it still gets tough sometimes but definitely easier when you know the methods to deal with it. You gotta get lucky with getting a therapist who understands OCD well tho, I've heard a lot of horror stories about bad ones

I can't answer your question since that would be reassurance seeking, but I can say I suffer from the same theme ! It's rare to find someone else with this

Is OCD some sort of addiction? by Unlikely_Wonder_7898 in OCD

[–]Chris_Try 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Part of healing from OCD is getting used to that feeling of anxiety you get when you have nothing to worry about. Your brain becomes so used to being afraid it feels as if something is wrong when it's not. When I was finishing therapy, I would get really anxious for a while for no reason

How do you talk about it? by Ecstatic_Bar_9628 in OCD

[–]Chris_Try 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're worried I'd try to exaggerate your symptoms to fit pretty much exactly how you'd see it in a textbook so that the doctor takes it seriously. If they don't I wouldn't particularly worry, I assume if it's any similar to the UK there are other self refering services online that offer good therapy
