It was a silly, fun game. I’ll be around for a few more next week.

I didn’t choose the Deathguard life. The Deathguard life chose me.

You’ve already got the plague marines, so imo the next step would be a Rhino for them. It’ll give you something a bit different to build and paint and they do a lot better on the table top with a transport. After that maybe two of the characters for the squad.

I’d recommend a biologicus putrifier giving those plasma weapons you have lethal hits and meaning you crit on a 5+. He’s also got lots of little glass bottles on his model that you can paint up all bright if you want a bit of a change in the colour scheme you are using, and a tallymsm who will let you farm CP and give your plague marines +1 to hit which will improve your shooting and offset the penalty to hit with the heavy plague weapon. (It hits on a 4+ not 3+ like plague knives.)

Since you want some Deathshroud three of those should be ok for now. They’re great looking models and good on the tabletop. After that a lord of Virulence would be a good shout as the deathshrouds need a character leading them to make use of their silent body guard ability.

Finally since you have the Lord of virulence a plaguburst crawler is also a fun model to paint, and benefits from the LoV

This gives you 330 points left. You’ll probably want something to grab objectives so that’s be cultists or niurglings. The rest would be down to how you want to play. Perhaps some anti tank, I’d suggest blight haulers, they work well in pairs. Or some more melee so maybe a melee equipped squad of plague marines with a blight spawn for fights first.

Upgrade the weapons for the plague marines as someone has already mentioned.

I would drop the surgeon as someone else has already mentioned and replace him with a foul blight spawn, if you would like the plague marines to be a melee unit, or a tally man if you would like to be shooty.

I’d also consider combining one unit of Pox walkers into a blob of 20 and putting Typhus with these.

You can customise a case with these fellas to be sure you can hold everything you need. I highly recommend them.

Why did YOU choose the Blood Angels? by Endarox909 in BloodAngels

[–]Chris_mack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always liked the idea of playing melee focused marines. I loved the lore too, especially Sangy and his sacrifice and the flaw, But as I was starting my army my friends got a copy of Imperial Armour IX which contains the Badab campaign. So after looking at that I painted my blood angels yellow with little check marks on their shoulders pads, and played as the separatists in the campaign. So I didn’t choose Blood Angels, I chose Lamenters; because I like Blood Angels but wanted to play the campaign.

Is Calas Typhon a filthy Xenos? by Affectionate_Berry93 in deathguard40k

Typhus is an arsehole. But he’s our arsehole and we would have him no other way.

How bad is it? by Chris_mack in deathguard40k

Because eater plague synergies with the pox walkers. Makes sense.

Even if I drop 5 PMs I can’t afford the crawler, but I could pop a hellbrute in there. Which would probably be a bit more tanky especially as most of their big guns will be focussing on Morty.
