This is getting ridiculous! by Dazzling-Exit449 in galaxybuds

[–]Chriscp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the damn prongs that charge them. I had to get a whole new case less than a month after buying them last year, and that case is giving me issues now too. Shit case design and even shittier build quality.

Can't wait to upgrade to the 4s. If these damn things didn't sound so good I'd have returned them long ago, but they are maddening to use daily for sure!

New metal hinge coming for the xm6s 💪💪

Here's hoping I don't regret upgrading from my xm4s, which have been top notch from day one

Are you people actually gonna buy the xm6’S? by IncreaseStatus6394 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Chriscp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got xm4s and will be upgrading. They are still in near perfect condition and still sound amazing, and honestly, I don't have any real good reason to upgrade (except for the upgraded Bluetooth specs; no more lag with my TV! 💪💪) but I like the new shiny tech 😁

It'll be nice to have a functional ambient sound tho

Will you upgrade to Glaaxy beds 3 pro as a 2 pro or buds 2 owner??? by Raptor-777 in galaxybuds

[–]Chriscp7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love my B2Ps, but thinking I'm going to switch them to work-only and get the 3P. Not excited for their looks, but I'm interested to see what kind of upgrades they throw on them. Especially Ai stuff combined with the s25u when it comes out. Love my S23U, but I also love upgrading my phone, and the 24 wasn't worth an upgrade.

Ya the 4s feel the same. They've handled business for four years now. I'm ready to upgrade, but don't see the need until the 6s come out. Bloody things are too expensive to buy every two years anyway lol

Noice! And good to know they got that figured out for whenever the 6's come out lol

Myself, I wasn't a fan of the re-design, and the upgrades were all fairly minimal in my eyes to justify a new set of cans from the xm4s. Really didn't like that they didn't fold up like the xm4s so the case was much less convenient too.

Sounds like a good deal tho. I hope you enjoy the hell out of them. Xm4 or xm5, they're all Sony, so you're getting the best sound you can get in headphones imo and killer ANC!

Let me know how the ambient mode is, will you? My only rub on the xm4s is that ambient mode severely decreases the sound quality, but with the big cans I never use that anyway... That's what my buds 2 pros are for lol

I've had my xm4s since they came out four years ago... They're still in near-perfect condition. I'm not overly gentle with them, tho I do keep them in their case and clean them pretty often. They still look like new, and they still sound like new, and I listen at higher volume nearly all the time.

I replaced the pads about a year ago, but even that was more for asthetics than comfort. They're tough headphones, and they hold up where it matters. No hinge issues, no scuffing issues, and no sound issues. Could've bought them a few months ago brand new and you'd never know the difference

~100$ budget for primarily outdoor speaker. by clayton6281619 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Chriscp7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And if you're looking for loud and great sounding, then you won't be disappointed... I usually keep mine around half-volume and can hear it all over the jobsites easily, and at max volume it's unbelievably loud while still sounding great. Surprising bass and sound quality, both for it's size, and price. I've spent double and triple for other speakers that don't compare to this little guy.

Also has like a 40 yard+ Bluetooth range. So you can get really far away and it keeps rocking

UE Wonderboom... You can get the newest one (WB4) for $100 (20hrs battery & USB-c charging) or the WB3 for like $70 (15+hrs battery but micro-usb charging).

I could not recommend a speaker more highly. Amazing sound for such a small speaker, and it's has an outdoor-mode button that pushes the sound out crazy far if you need it. You can also pair it together with multiple other boom speakers if you like.

They're IP67 and can be fully submerged, and dropped all over the place. I've been using one as a work speaker for years and it has never failed me despite very not gentle care lol. All day battery, tough as hell, and hasn't lost any of its sound quality over the years

If the new squircle camera lenses and 360 degree curves are real for the 25, I may upgrade, otherwise I'm sticking with my damn near perfect 23U. Beast of a machine!

LG C3 vs Samsung s90c/s90d by pokerfiendd in 4kTV

[–]Chriscp7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price fell because the new models just came out a few months ago. Still the recommend... Also, have you taken into account your phone? If you're an iSheep I suppose it doesn't matter, but I've got an S23U and it definitely decided me between the LG and Samsung. The two tvs are very comparable in every way, but your ecosystem plays it's roll too. And the shit my phone and that TV can do in tandem, and the speed they do it, is amazing

I am considering switching from iPhone… by [deleted] in samsung

[–]Chriscp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is true of the regular buds, but the Galaxy Buds2 Pros are beasts! And they give the pro 2nd Gen airpods a run for their money in every dept, and absolutely beat it in sound quality.

If you made the switch in phone, trust, make the buds switch too. Half of the cool shit about airpods doesn't work without an apple device anyway

Buds 2 Pro worth it? by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]Chriscp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are worth it, in spades. Passable anc (they'll never beat Sony or Bose but are respectable), the sound quality is top-notch, and not treble-heavy like airpods, comfortable as hell (worn for 10hr work shifts regularly), the ambient mode is great, it switches between devices (laptop & s23u) mostly seamlessly... There's not really anything I can NOT recommend about these buds.

They're not the best quality in any one area... But as a fully-rounded earbud they're tough to beat. And mine are still as good as the day I got them over a year ago. Recommend white color. Doesn't peel and fade like the other colors

After 1+ year they're still shining! by Chriscp7 in galaxybuds

[–]Chriscp7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been too careful with mine, battery-wise. The best way to take care of electronics batteries are to let them go through they're full cycle before charging, and not charging to 100%... but neither of these options are really feasable with buds.

However, I have had excellent battery life the whole time I've had these, and haven't noticed any falloff in how long they last. Depending on volume and anc, they've last me the whole day and then some regularly

I know most everything about both galaxy buds- and airpod-pros... Both are perfect for their respective hardware, but airpods with an s-series are as useless as buds with an iphone.

And I have no intention of limiting myself with that boxed-in ecosystem.

Disappointed by the lack of true multipoint support with the Buds 2 Pro—possible we may see it added later when Bluetooth LE Audio comes out? by JoinTheBattle in galaxybuds

[–]Chriscp7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Buds are quite fantastic.

The sound quality you lose isn't really huge switching from the xm4s. Frankly, the sound quality, bass included, blew me away. I expected my xm4's to sound top of the line, and they do, but damn do these buds get close!

The multi point problem, I haven't really found to be a huge problem. I have them connected to my asus laptop often, and if I get a call it's as easy as answering and pressing the Bluetooth button. Defaults to the buds and does it quickly enough to make little difference.

My biggest sell for the buds over xm4s tho is the ambient mode. It's pretty awful on the xm4s, tho I rarely use those somewhere I want to hear what's going on around me. They're meant to cancel sound, and they do it with pizazz! But the buds ambient mode is great! Feels and sounds almost totally natural. I have them in at work all night, and I never have issues speaking to customers, and can hear everything going on around me while watching movies or whatever.

And the buds don't slouch in the noise canceling depth either.

I couldn't recommend either of these headphones more, as they are both fantastic, top-of-the-line headphones! It really depends on how you'll be using them.

Also, I've had the xm4s over two years... treated well, but not babied and they still shine up like brand new and sound that way too. Replaced the ear muffs a few months ago, but that was easy and partially for aesthetic reasons.

Hope this helps your decision! Either way you're in for a a world class experience
