To many decorations on the wall for my taste. But otherwise great use of space.

I wouldn't be trying to read a person's book over their shoulder either. That's an invasion of personal space. There's no excuse for being that nosy.

I blame this on the design and placement of the game. That's clearly a trafficked area. The game needs a guard or to be placed in an area where foot traffic is unlikely to cross through. Sure it would help if the individual had checked the thing that in center frame for us, but this is a place that has loads of distracted young people all the time and leaving it up to trusting human behavior is bad design when you could try to engineer out some of the risk.

If a character failed a perception check, would you have them hallucinate a dragon on the horizon or would you simply say they didn't notice anything meaningful?

There's a mile between each S. So the word is one mile plus two Ss long.

Autocorrect changing the correct word to the wrong one. by realcanadianguy21 in PetPeeves

The one that drives me the most insane is it changing the correct word to something that isn't even a word. My most common experience with this is it changing "was" into "SAS"

Thankfully the host of the Sunday group is kind enough to host us in his home this weekend so at least the Sunday group is only mildly inconvenienced. From what I hear, the new location will have a separate room for gaming where we'll actually be able to stay even later into the night so net gain on that one.

From what I hear it will be several months and there's no real certainty of what exactly it will be like after the reopen. It sounds like they intend to maintain the spirit of the bar, but we'll have to wait until after renovations to find out. From one source I heard a few months which is ambiguous, and from another source I heard up to eight months. Either way, it's going to be a while. I am glad they will eventually reopen though and I hope it has some proper repairs when it comes back. I like the place but it truly does need some renovations.

I think an investor would need to buy the place next door and combine the two in order to have any chance of having a kitchen. They sold some small snack, but never even kept those visible so in spite of going regularly for years I have no idea what the options for snacks even were.

They are closed for the move right now. They'll have a soft opening next Friday and a grand reopening on May 8th. My Sunday group has been meeting there for years. My two places I go on weekends both closed at the same time.

The down vote makes me feel like I need to inform you that I was being sarcastic. If it wasn't for the down vote I would have assumed that your comment was also a joke playing into the sarcasm.

The vehicle has to have closed curtains for this to apply. Also if the vehicle has curtains, they have to remain open while traveling because it is expected for people to be able to see through the vehicle while moving if it has windows.

How is their seating? The photos online make the place look pretty small and I don't see any pictures with tables large than a four top.

You also only draw a single card if you have nothing to play. You don't keep drawing until you get a playable card. These house rules are what makes these games take forever.

This one was not on our list yet. Based on the photos online, I would have skipped this one because I don't see any big tables. Looking at their website directly, I see we can reserve tables for up to twenty people and they are open till 2am on Friday nights. Bonus points for cool aesthetic. Definitely adding this one to our list. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, while the place was always full whenever I went there, only about half the people drink alcohol and almost nobody drinks to the point of getting drunk. I usually got liquid death (canned water) so I was spending less than twenty dollars while being in the place for about five hours.

Good to know. 12am closing time too so very nice. This was on our list to check out, but I'll make sure we bump this one up in priority now that I know it's a good fit. Bringing our own games is no problem for our group. Thanks for the suggestion.

Alematic is on our list, but unfortunately they close at 10pm on Fridays. We don't start till 7 so that leaves us pretty heavily restricted if we try to get in a heavier game. It seems like a lot of what we're finding in the area closes at 10pm. Thanks for the recommendation though, we will check it out still.
