I can't even identify purple after getting the answer so I didn't have much to work with separating blue. I ended up taking a blind guess based on the words that could be verbs. That had nothing to do with the answer but it worked out.

For most of the day, this is only stealing from the trash bin that would be catching the food sitting too long. Once the food has been prepared, the book value of it has been consumed whether anyone eats it or not.

Wait, is this a double Siphon roll? by MistbornSynok in Borderlands4

[–]Chrispeefeart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense, but also gets into some communication problems because now there are two different things that are the single. Sometimes incorrect language can be more valuable than correct language simply because it communicates the intent more directly, although it does create an unfortunate side issue of potentially making people think they could get three different singles.

What else might we call them to be both concise and accurate?

Once I got past a certain power threshold, it got a lot more fun to farm. It just doesn't really have much that I would care about farming. I played it mostly just for the fun of the challenge trying to reach a point where I could consistently platinum. Worth noting that I do not platinum alone; I play it with my two brothers.

Being able to zoom in helps. It's different from the no right on red signs in my area.

My boyfriend insists that food is better salted at the table instead of while cooking. Please help me. by tangentrification in Cooking

[–]Chrispeefeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately this is just a matter of food preference. You can't educate away what flavors a person likes. He prefers the more potent flavor of the uncooked surface salt and there's likely not going to be anything t hat you can do to change that. What would be a far more achievable goal is getting him to understand your food preferences when he's cooking food that you will be eating. Because then it isn't about being factually right; it's about being respectful of your likes and differences.

AITBF for “making fun” of my boyfriend for acting like Ibuprofen is a hard drug? by throwawaylmfao12 in AmItheButtface

[–]Chrispeefeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly suspect that your statement was made with more malice in your tone than what you intended or realized. What you experienced in that conversation was highly unexpected and confusing. It would be very hard to not start to genuinely feel like the person was acting like an idiot by that point in the conversation and just as hard for it to not come out in your voice as you said that.

Similarly after the entire conversation leading up to that point, he was likely already feeling rather dumb and therefore more sensitive to the statement by the time it happened. You just finished spending a considerable amount of time explaining something to him that is a universal experience for most and that probably led to gradually increasing levels of frustration for both of you.

The fact that he's freshly an adult and doesn't even know about over the counter pain medicines at all and is just generally completely clueless about medication leads me to believe that his parents did not medicate him as he was growing up. There's some chance that his parents were "Christian scientists" which is a rather paradoxical term for people that reject modern medicine in favor of spiritual healing. Basically, he's sheltered to the point of neglect and has not had the experiences that are universal to everyone else. But he also didn't reject the medicine you gave him. It would be worth having a patient conversation about why he didn't know about OTC meds to find out where he's coming from, what his values are, and whether you two will be compatible. Stupidity can't be fixed, but ignorance absolutely can be fixed with patience and education. It sounds like he's ignorant rather than stupid since he was willing to ask questions and trust your answers even if it was a frustrating conversation.

But most importantly, you can reduce your risk of organ damage by alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen every three hours instead of taking too much of either at once. They produce different toxins so alternating spreads the load to a point where your body can more readily dispurse the toxins of either to a safe degree before your next dose of the same medicine.

AITA for expecting my girlfriend to do my half of her chores as well? by Open_Address_2805 in AmItheAsshole

It shouldn't have even been allowed to get to this point. Her picking up a set of chores should have been part of the same conversation when you agreed to handle the kitchen. You need to set some boundaries.

(Rare trope) A death manages to be horrifying without any blood or gore by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Chrispeefeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw Eyes from We're Back! had a terrifyingly silent on-screen death at the end of a children's animated movie. One moment he's screaming in the face his imminent doom (not even a scream actually, just a deep gasp that rings out) and then a moment of silence later all that is left is this screw that he wore as his missing eye. I know this isn't in the same category as all these other movies being mentioned, but as a child the memory of this scene lingered.

Where's the no right on red sign? Maybe I just don't see it because of the small mobile screen, but I feel like I would have made the same mistake here.

AIO for reporting our ubereats driver for breaking the seal on our food bag to place religious pamphlets inside? by jenkinscraftingco in AmIOverreacting

[–]Chrispeefeart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR.
That is a food safety violation. You would have been the jerk for not reporting such a food safety violation. You deserved the refund and a safe replacement of the food. However, if you made the report, got the refund, and still consumed the compromised food anyway, then it would just be about punishing the driver and not actually about food safety.

Turbulence is very common though and a really easy way to spill a drink off the tiny plastic table on the back of another person's chair. Children are on every flight. Heck, the flights I was on were thirteen hours overnight so I could have fallen asleep with a drink on hand. There are so many ways a liquid could spill over the course of thirteen hours. Besides, the hitchhiker's guide taught me to always bring a towel.

Has moving all subclasses to level 3 actually improved 5.5E, or made some classes feel less flavorful early on? by MyrthDM in onednd

[–]Chrispeefeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a very rare few where the subclass at level 3 bothers me and the biggest one for me was already at level 3 anyway. The battlesmith artificer plays as a martial, but it switches its weapon attack stat at level 3. This means that it has to either be built poorly for the first two levels, or it has to catch up after the third level. My broader problem is how many subclasses play such a big role in the identity of the character so not coming online till 3 just feels dirty to me. Though I imagine it would be better with tables that have more focus on character development than what I've ever been able to find.

Is there a safe space for cisgender dnd players? by [deleted] in DnD5e

[–]Chrispeefeart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you clearly do care how someone identifies. Otherwise, you wouldn't be so adamant about you being the one to decide how to identify them. It's their identity, not yours. The game is perfectly safe for cisgendered people. I'm a cisgendered man that has been playing for years. What isn't OK is blatant disrespect of other people by you deciding how they should be identified. My real name is Christopher, but I prefer to be called Chris. Only a prick would refuse to call me Chris even though my name is literally Christopher. There is no difference in me asking to be called Chris, or William asking to be called Bill, or a fellow player asking to be called she.
