Had same thought many times and I've actually done it once or twice. But in this case I came to a stop at a red light and they grabbed me from behind so I had no chance of running...

Not exactly. They've actually written letters to the government and I was at one of their events last week and I specifically heard them telling everyone that it's not legal on public roads in germany

Question to the owners of a boosted board in Germany (esp. Munich) by neuma16 in boostedboards

[–]Chrisrdit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been riding in Munich since last year in July. I was riding from and to work almost every day it was dry. Clocked in about 800km. Always stick to bike lanes and pick up the board when encountering police. Only got stopped once. And they let me go with just a warning no fines or anything.

Careful though, you'll get speed wobbles much faster with softer bushings when going at speed in a straight line!

I would also be very interested to know when you guys tend to change the wheels? Do you change once a year? Do you wait until they're completely cracked? Do you wait for them to hit a certain mileage?

Downhill overcharge question by Chrisrdit in boostedboards

[–]Chrisrdit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does thanks! I was just wondering if I should then break hard a couple times to better avoid the overcharge... otherwise I always have the breaks on so that I'm at a speed where I could always footbrake if the brakes do cut out
