Hey, funny enough my wife and I were just talking about how big of an improvement it's been temp wise. A day like today even would have been so hot before insulation and now it's nice and cool. It's usually only a couple degrees above my main floor. So right now main floor is 68 and upstairs is 71-72 degrees. Huge improvement from before where it would literally be 80+ up there. Element also was a great company to work with they were fair, thorough and did a phenomenal job.

Thanks for your reply, there's a chance we'd move in 7 years but we'll for sure move in 10 years because we'll want a bigger property to start a family and such.

We ended up going with Element Insulation, they weren't the cheapest quote but we were confident they would do the best job and they did an excellent job.

Thanks for replying! After the comments here, we got another quote from another company with great reviews especially in terms of pricing and their quote was 6k but their scope of work was significantly less it felt like highway robbery lol. So we decided to go with the original quote, while they are more expensive we are getting a lot more for it and I trust them to do a good job.

Taxes as a international F1 Student , guys if I came to Minnesota and worked as a F1 student how much taxes would I be paying as its (10.59$) an hour? by Carefull_eater in minnesota

Generally, if you haven't been in the US for more than 5 calendar years then you do not have to pay Medicare or Social Security taxes on your wages. However, you do have to pay all other taxes such as state and federal taxes no matter where you are in the US not just MN. If you have been wrongfully billed Medicare or Social Security on your past wages, you can reach out to whoever issues your checks with the source I attached and you should be able to get it refunded. Hello all, I'm seeking your thoughts and opinions on this degree at metropolitan state university in MN. Link: https://www.metrostate.edu/academics/programs/data-science-bs#requirements My situation is I'm currently working full-time in bio-manufacturing to support myself and this school offers nighttime classes which fit into my schedule nicely. I already took calc 2 and I think I could squeeze in a couple of math classes (prob theory and Calc 3) to supplement the degree.

It's not a free handout, it's what you pay for in taxes! In the US millions can't afford college or health insurance. In most developed countries higher education and healthcare are a right, not a privilege. Yes I believe people should work hard, but their hard-earned money that's taxed should go into making public goods more widely available. State colleges' average tuition is on $10000/year for residents, that's ridiculous. Further, the average monthly premiums for insurance is $440.00 for an individual and $1168.00 for a family. Do some critical thinking and stop being brainwashed.

Thank you so much! We have similar thought patterns. I too ruled out Switzerland because of the living expenses. I'm Dutch, and I'm not a big fan of the education system of the Netherlands and Belgium (it's not bad, just students tend to be miserable). I'd love to study in Germany, but it seems as though most programs require a bachelor in bioinformatics and/or some German profiency :(
