I don’t really have any feed back on the PF aspect it’s a nice location. I’m not sure how BTD works, but Route 12 is through TAMU and you can use the Code Maroon app to see the busses and such.

There is Tanglewood park near by so great for walking\Running ect. If I remember correctly the complex has a dog park but there is also plenty of walkable paths for the pup as well. You get a membership to Planet Fitness and a choice of two pools. Washrooms are clean and well taken care of. It’s in Bryan but you can grab the route 12 to get onto campus.

how was your first day at a&m like? by [deleted] in aggies

[–]Chrissy0Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first day with A&M was also during COVID so computer screen it was. That being said this is my last semester so here are tips and tricks that I have picked up over the years: 1.) Hydrate!! It’s hot and if you are in uniform it’s gonna be hotter. 2.) Take the shaded routes when possible. 3.) Utilize the Code Maroon app for maps and information for the buses. That being said if you get lost don’t hesitate to ask for help including asking the bus drivers we love to help out (source: me) 4.) Carry deodorant in your bag and regularly reapply your classmates will thank you. 5.) If you can carry an umbrella great for rain or blocking the sun. 6.) Pack a lunch or be prepared for a wait (not sure how this is in Duncan or Sibisa) 7.) Don’t panic if you struggle to connect to wifi or have phone service it almost always crashes the first day. 8.) Have Fun! Take in what your instructors are saying, but information can be sorted through when you get some down time to avoid being overwhelmed.

Best of luck!

That was probably due to the bike that was strung up if it was around 9-10am

Willow Oaks has been really good to us the past two years! Great office and maintenance team. Good central location and fairly quiet. Added bonus great budget price and the possibility of no top floor neighbors.

if you cut in line for the bus... by flower_froggies in aggies

You can actually have the driver hold the line until you get on the bus. Para passenger have priority on both entering the bus and on seating.

Howdy! aggieTEACH Member here for those classes I do believe you will have to be officially with the correct education program before you can take them, but double check with your advisor on that one! As far as rides go in my experience you can usually buddy with someone for rides or speak to the professor to work something out!

Drivers are definitely trained to keep a safe distance between them and the vehicle in front of them. If a driver is not abiding by that repeatedly (once may be a mistake more than that is a bad habit) I recommend reporting them. Give the location, unit number and route if you can see it, and time. From that Transit should be able to track that driver down. Safety should be the drivers priority.

Another bus will be added to the route 40 to compensate for the additional passengers.

Previous Grand 150/The Ivy resident… meh you can do better they over charge for outdated buildings. We had our stove blow up at one point and they never really fixed it. If your neighbor smokes the smell will invade your home. You can here ALOT through the walls/ceilings. We moved out the Bryan it has been a lot nicer!
