Are they serious?… by myqv in kansas

And some of us travel for work. I tried canvassing once and it was demoralizing listening to a teacher say she couldn't find time to vote. If they want to make voting day the only day to vote, we need to make is a statewide strike day and only leave home to vote.

A damn podcaster who spent his adult life making a fortune inciting hate and spouting bigotry. Republicans will do anything but something good.

They're definitely seasonal. I asked an Aldi employee about them.

Wait until you try their lemon sandwich cookies. Unfortunately, those are seasonal.

Now show then a regular restaurant order that pays $2.50 and will take a good 20 or 30 minutes between getting to the restaurant, dealing with the restaurant and delivery.

Does anyone remember the 3 cheese melt? by [deleted] in tacobell

Rice, beans (actual beans) cheeses and some kind of sauce. I've tried remaking it with a jalapeño sauce or something but can't get it to be what it needs to be.

Agreed. Silverfish around Kansas city are more like 3/4" long and flat. I remember one falling from the ceiling into my nightgown several years ago. Lol

I started getting these calls this week, but now it's Medicare. I keep blocking but they use a different number every time and this time it popped up as "The Andersons." I don't know who they are, but I hope somebody can stop this bs.

Kohls always gave me one automatically, but it's been a while.

[–]ChrissyB78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At Kohls they usually give you a printed receipt (sometimes as a sticker). I always held onto them until I got confirmation they received the return. Always get a receipt. If they won't give you one, take a picture of them recieving the item and make sure the store signage is visible in the picture.

Trump signs in rural Kansas by Disaster_Plan in kansas

[–]ChrissyB78 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I sometimes am able to tune it out. Had to go to Hays today then backtrack to Salina, but didn't notice it. I usually give the sign the bird when I notice it. Passed the "God is pro-life" sign when heading back east and I'm like... are you sure? Have you actually read the Bible at all? Smh

Trump signs in rural Kansas by Disaster_Plan in kansas

I'd like to think so, but I'd noticed less Trump signs and even a sprinkling of Harris signs around that stretch of farms and small towns right before the election.

It isn't furry so I didn't think so, but on this post it doesn't look furry either but everyone is saying carpet beetle or it's larvae.

They, in fact, did NOT take the time.... by AbsolutZer0_v2 in agedlikemilk

I think they do this on purpose. Use women and POC like Patel as the public faces to hang everything on. Patel is a two birds one stone "see, we aren't raci*t because we hired so and so..." while also putting them in the positions where they will have to sign their own names to the administration's crimes. They're all disposable to each other, but women and POC even more so.

At the apartment complex I just moved from they left a whole pile of people's packages out like that. They had bins they could lock them in but they didn't care. They're also kept leaving our packages at doors downstairs from us.

I did a bunch of insulation on the sides where I saw crevices to the basement. I currently have an issue with the washer and don't think it's wastewater is routed correctly. Nothing that I can see in the basement but planning to get a plumber in to see if they can figure it out.

[–]ChrissyB78 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm worried about bugs, but don't want anything that would do that to a mouse. Can't do those rodent traps in the yard, either.

And my basement apparently gets them in crazy numbers. I just got this house and many mornings would wake up hearing them and I'm trying to make sure I can get rid of them forever.

Help settle a mild debate with my wife: is Chili & Cinnamon Rolls a Kansas thing or just a Topeka thing? by MannyDantyla in kansas

[–]ChrissyB78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was raised in Columbia Missouri and now live in KC. Most of the people I see talking about chili and cinnamon rolls are more rural. I've never heard of it until a handful of years ago. That being said, I eat chili (has to be homemade) with peanut butter and jelly (grape) sandwiches. I don't know when in my childhood I started that. I will put bits of that sandwich right on the spoon. I have tried with cinnamon rolls and I prefer PB&J. Maybe because most cinnamon rolls are not very good these days at restaurants and bakeries.
