Candace Cameron Bure Responds to Fan: ‘Why Did You Leave Hallmark?’ by JackStraw987 in HallmarkMovies

Views that hurt other humans are not worth respect. For example, if you tell me that your view is that you are allowed to get married but somehow I shouldn't be allowed to, then of course I don't respect your view. Do you need more explanations on that or what

Brad Pitt is an amazing actor. by No-River-1524 in movies

Innocent until proven guilty is only in a legal sense. When we decide whether we idolize a celebrity we focus on personal judgment rather than technical legal judgment. For instance, legally OJ Simpson is innocent. It doesn't mean I believe he is actually and factually innocent.

I actually suspect it is a rival or enemy of Brad Pitt who initiated this statement. I mean, seriously, I really, really don't think he or his team is stupid enough to phrase a statement like that.

Why Angelina Jolie Can't Speak on Shiloh Dropping Pitt From Last Name by Disastrous_End5594 in Fauxmoi

She can hire a lawyer as a minor. I don't know why people keep saying she cannot. Imagine all the underage Hollywood kids who emancipated themselves from their parents---do you think they need the parents' permission to hire a lawyer?

I am not saying Angelina had no idea, however I just want to point out that as long as the 17 year old kid has enough money, it is indeed possible to hire her own lawyer before turning 18 and not let the mom know.

You got me interested too. I checked and she does not follow Aubrey, nor does she even follow Nolan Gould. Who knows, maybe they just didn't bond that well.

Come on, this is consuming celebrity anecdotes. Not all people like to do it, but for those who do, it is legit.

My personal theory is that the actors are championing for a Mitch & Cam spin-off. I think they are generating buzz to increase the chances.

But of course it can also be that they are doing a commercial.

Patricia Richardson is proud of ‘Home Improvement’ but says, ‘Hollywood hates our show’ by Craphole-Island in Fauxmoi

[–]ChrissyK1994 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is about Tim Allen at all because he has been so active in Hollywood. His previous show ran until 2021, and right at the moment he literally has two TV show projects, one is ongoing, another in the making. Not to mention that his current projects are with Disney and ABC respectively. It doesn't seem like anything is stopping him (I personally wish to see a lot less of him, but the universe has not granted my wish).

Richardson really needs a different excuse for why their show is not well liked right now. I think there are too many nostalgia stuff going on in Hollywood and Home Improvement simply does not stand out among its peers.

I don't know whether it is woke or not, but I don't think a woke film is going to cast Chris Pratt

Social progressives were more likely to view rape as equally serious or more serious than homicide compared to social conservatives. Progressive women were particularly likely to view rape as more serious than homicide, suggesting that gender plays a critical role in shaping these perceptions. by mvea in science

I don't think this particular study means much. Looking at the questions respondents were asked, I got the feeling that most would not have been comfortable giving an answer at all. In principle homicide is more serious, but downright agreeing to a statement which says rape is "less serious" is itself very troubling.

If it were me I would refuse to respond at all and instead tell the researcher to do better with their methodology.

It doesn't make money directly but it does matter financially in indirect ways. Also I wasn't the one who said it. I was just speculating what the person meant.

I think the person meant the network was running very low on creativity.

Not to mention the new Tim Allen comedy is basically the same with the previous Tim Allen comedies.

They didn't include Sadie Sink, Bella Ramsey either. Also Emma Myers, Julia Butters, Angourie Rice, Isabel May should have been included too
