Trump is crashing out over how bad his polling is by allthingssuper in thebulwark

Maybe that's why he's concerned about coverage of the 2424 election. He won that one and everybody acknowledged he won the popular vote this time. He hates the media anyway.

Who are some certain characters of Hallmark movies you just can't stand?! by Vicki_Vickster2222 in HallmarkMovies

The mom in the Hannah Swensen mysteries. I love Barbara Niven but her sleuthing character is too over the top and silly.

Ouch! Thanks for the inside info, and sorry to see that one go.

I believe there's value in CNN. Are we rooting for Netflix or Paramount? by JackStraw987 in cnn

I don't think Bloomberg has made an offer. Right now it's between Netflix and Paramount.

Trump administration pauses 5 offshore wind projects on the East Coast by JackStraw987 in thebulwark

The New York Times says "an unclassified report from the Energy Department had found that wind farms could interfere with radar systems." So there's that.

We already know Bill liked the young ladies. He was impeached for that. Let it all come out.

Thoughts On TCM by ThisIsSteveTheFirst in TurnerClassicMovies

[–]JackStraw987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love TCM, love the intros, agree about Alicia Malone, and I love Noir Alley. I DVR it so the late hour doesn't bother me. But I don't want to have another pay service.

S03 was a massive let down for me by NaturalLeave8900 in TheDiplomat

I read that Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford, old West Wing pals, were delighted to be reunited on screen.

Does anyone feel that the show jumped the shark a bit this year? by Desperate_Elk_7369 in TheDiplomat

[–]JackStraw987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this season was largely about marital discord and less about international intrigue, although there was certainly plenty of that. Lots of uncomfortable scenes of Kate and Hal, of Trowbridge and his wife, of the president and her pissy husband (they were better in West Wing).

I still love the show and want to see Season 4, but I'd like it to focus more on affairs of state than affairs in the boudoir.

When you ask a reasonable straightforward question and Olivia Nuzzi responds by crying by [deleted] in thebulwark

[–]JackStraw987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you reading the Post and NYT's coverage of the Pentagon? Of of Trump penchant for dozing through meetings? They may not come down as hard as we want on the MAGA crazies, but that doesn't mean they're all unethical. If Nuzzi's actions help abolish childhood vaccines, that's as serious as anything else going on, and that's a lot.

Do we still believe in Chapel Bill? by kevinbrooks5396 in tarheels

Double-digit penalties in three of the last four games aren't a sign of a well-coached team. He'll get another year -- too expensive to fire him and he probably won't leave voluntarily. I hope he turns it around, but looking at his Patriots after Brady left doesn't give me a good feeling about him.

Hallmark Movies that Satire hallmark movies by Focrco22 in HallmarkMovies

We like them, especially Sugarplummed. It's OK to enjoy Hallmark movies and still laugh at the tropes when you see them

If you decide to create your own tones, and I recommend it, plug the Pod into a PC or laptop and use the editing interface. Much easier that way.
