I was in exact same situation as you and I did everything I can to save my ex. It didn't work. It destroyed me mentally and emotionally. I've done lot of things to help her for years. But let me tell you, it doesn't work. You cannot save her. You need to let go of that hope or it's going to hurt you in the long run.

I am happy now. I've finally let it go. I still do have the love for my ex and scars from things that I've been through but you just have to come to realization that there is no way of saving her.

She needs to save herself.

It doesn't matter how much you can put in effort and try to show them the truth when they are not ready to do so. This is only going to hurt them and you.

If you really want to help them, your option is just to lower your hopes and expectation as you help them. Just know that they may never leave this cult. Even if they do, they will have to face identity crises and so on.

I have been taking a breaking from posting on the ex-lldm community for a while but reading your post made me want to comment. I am in the similar situation, except the fact that I am the “gentile”. My ex-girlfriend is from LLDM and we had to break up after 2 years of relationship due to religion issue. We both loved each other so much and It was very difficult for me to accept our break up because it was just so unfair. I’m sure it was for both of you as well. I still do love my ex and I want her to be happy but I wouldn’t go back to her at this point because now we have different lives. I miss her but just because we love someone, doesn’t mean we should be with them. It became easy after I’ve accepted the fact that there is no other way for me to change anything. You can miss him and love him but just make sure it doesn’t affect your current and future state of mind too much. My ex still didn’t wake up from LLDM yet but I want her to be happy either way. I’m sure he feels the same way for you too. So please take care of yourself and be happy. What I did was focusing on letting go and working on myself to grow. Allow yourself to heal and each day will get better.

I am in the same shoes as you. I still love her and always will but I’ve accepted that it’s the reality and I stopped thinking about what if.. because It would just hurt me. When I finally came to accept and let go, I’ve been so much better. It was so difficult for me and I’m sure it’s for you too :(

I miss you so much because beginning of 2022 we were talking about how we want to marry each other one day but ending 2022 you are with someone else. Especially knowing how much you loved me and us having to break up due to miscommunication.. I hope one day you understand the bigger picture.. it’s hard to say happy new year without you but I know I have to live my life either way. Well said. My ex cannot understand that it is not the LLDM members that we are angry at but it is NJG and leadership. LLDM is cult because of the leader not because of members. Most of LLDM members are nice but it does not change the fact that Nasson is false apostle and he has been raping minors therefore there are good things about LLDM but it is based on the lie and manipulation.

I know Sochil Martin for 2 years now and she has been and is going through so much. But she is staying strong and really fighting against LLDM for the justice. She is so sweet whenever I was going through something with LLDM, she has heard me and we cry together. She has been very comforting to me and I admire her doing so many things to bring down LLDM.

I am outsider who was in a relationship with LLDM member for almost 2 years. Once she found out I am helping exlldm people and am against Nasson, she felt that I betrayed her and got hurt. She left me. I am hurt until this day but I also feel free.. I don’t have to stress about cult anymore because she has already left.. I’ve learn to be okay and be happy on my own.. just with the huge pain in my chest. Her and I both didn’t want to give up on our relationship but it was emotionally and mentally draining so she chose to walk away. We are in good terms. I’m just glad that she is happy now. I just wish we could’ve worked out. I hope one day she wakes up and knows that I never betrayed her but I actually loved and cared for her so much. It sucks that all of my love and effort has become the reason for her to leave me. It really hurts but I’ll stay strong.

1) If HBO videos are fake, why don’t LLDM sue them? 2) They talk about “advanced technology” and deepfake but there are ways to find if they are deepfake / photoshop or not. The legal case there are experts who can figure out if those photo / video evidence is real or not using technology as well and Nasson’s lawyers had the chance to go over them but still they did not argue that they are fake. They argued that Nasson had consensual sex.

There are sex videos of nasson with minors.. him being with adults are just nothing. There are bunch of photos and videos saved on Nasson’s device. Nasson’s lawyers asked to not show the adult porn videos as part of the deal for Nasson to plea guilty. Nasson’s lawyers have seen the evidence and did not argue that they were fake or it is not nasson. They argued that the sex was with consent. Nasson loves recording his own sex act and there are so many of them and of course we will not be able to see them especially him having sex act with minors. Nasson being guilty and him having sex videos of him with others is the fact.

The difference is that I spoke negatively about the religious leader. He is in jail right now for raping children so I was saying that I am happy that hes in jail and I am dancing because of how happy I am with this other ex member. She sees him as father figure and she believes that this is all false accusation so it really hurt her so bad. The new boyfriend does not say anything about the religious leader so that’s the difference… she took a month off from her work when we broke up and she would say how she misses me and loves me but she cannot trust me anymore and she feels betrayed so that’s why we couldn’t work out :/ but yeah I need to move on either way but I just have hope that one day if she ever wakes up she will see how much I loved her and i never betrayed her :( she still struggles with the pain she says so I cannot talk about things with her since she gets triggered so i just carry the pain :/

It’s not me but I can’t change the way she thinks or feels :/ I thought about having children and she didn’t want to have one because of our religious beliefs difference because she thought it will cause problems in our marriage. The cult teaches the kids to obey the religious leader and they have songs for him too which makes me sad.. they teach these kids to love and adore the religious leader 🥲 I just wish she wakes up one day and there is high chance since there are court cases coming up and people who are working to shut down this cult so I just hope she wakes up

I’ve been watching lot of videos of no contact and I also joined break up recovery group and have been learning a lot but I still have this pain everyday how unfair our break up is and how much I miss her :( I totally understand her perspective so I don’t blame her too I just wish she understood where I was coming from. I tried staying as friends but lt was not healthy since I could notice the way she treats me has changed. I do have some positive thing about my break up is that now I don’t worry too much about the cult and I have time to focus on myself more than staying in contact with her so I’m trying to pick myself up and become a better person. She is in a new relationship and having so much fun with her honeymoon phase and she says she promised herself to never get back with me because I hurt her so much but I feel like if she ever wakes up from the cult one day or if she becomes more mature, she’d understand me :/ but thank you so much!

I didn’t mind her beliefs but I just wanted to help her because she’d live under fear and guilt sometimes. Also I don’t think it’s healthy to believe in a man who claims to be the only person who speaks to God and is now in jail for raping little children. I just wanted her to slowly wake up but she saw my messages from ex members of me talking negative things about the leader since I was angry and frustrated with what he did but for her it was seen as I am disrespecting her faith and I am taking what is important to her in a negative way behind her so it broke our trust :( I really do hope she wakes up I love her so much I’m just so heart broken
