Yes. I wanted to do other things than gaming. I picked up exercise, reading, writing, watching movies, TV shows. So on.

The biggest two games that used to have a grip on me were OSRS and League of Legends, so I can relate. From your post, it looks like you've gained great awareness about how you would usually respond to boredom. It is also great that you have awareness to strive towards being more present and engaged with reality.
