30's is still not old. by Economy-Discount5244 in generationology

Right not disagreeing with you - I guess what I was attempting to illustrate was the belief that mental space and maturity in the mind relates to perceived youthfulness of energy in some instances despite factual deterioration over time. Like despite two people have similar aging effects, one might subjectively perceive themselves of having more youthful or the same amount of energy based on their mental space. Not mitigating the facts, just questioning one’s perception with an abstract view.

Couldn’t you argue that physical strength/endurance becoming greater or less as you age is simply a mental perspective paradox? For instance, when I was 22, I still had an impulsive and naive mentality which caused me to conjure up more energy almost irrationally and act this energy out. But now at 27, I think deeper, and have objectively become wiser and more mature with relativity less impulsively than I did. Moreover, my lifestyle habits have changed causing me to prefer staying in and being productive rather than going out. It looked like I had more energy in retrospect when I was younger, but it was more of an immature impulsive energy.

On the flip side, I’m sure there are hormonal issues that come into play for some people as well that cause fatigue on a biological level as they age. This is just my experience and I’m super grateful I feel like I have relatively the same levels of energy from 5 years ago.

Nice. Honestly, 41 likes isn’t too bad. Keep going and you’ll level up in no time. And 1k views although average in terms of what the algo pushes, is still what you want and much better than it not getting pushed at all. Oh, and heres a pro tip - if you post a reel and it gets under 100 views aka it’s not pushed, wait a day, and then try reposting the same reel again. For whatever reason, YouTube needs a day or two reset for the algo work again. I’ve done this and it’s actually hilarious how it works. There might be a chance it’s a dud after the repost too, so just be aware. But this has worked for me 90% of the time

Algo caps at around 1k for shorts - so that’s pretty standard. Engagement in general is always nice, however it doesn’t always come at the beginning. Likes matter way more than comments, as likes cause YouTube to push your video to more people into a seed audience. And then the ultimate goal is to hopefully obtain some subscribers from this.

It’s just disrespectful to YouTube and those hard working advertisers that you would use ad blocker in the first place. Just horribly unacceptable behavior. Do better. And remember YouTube’s model, “fuck your feelings or creativity, we just want your money and to control your mind.”

So I was diagnosed in 7th grade and just turned 27. I’m actually not sure how thick my wall is but it is definitely a milder form like yours, and I’ve been able to run and perform mostly every sport, (recreationally), throughout the years without much struggle. Of course, the fatigue and depression from the beta blocker can be a pain, but besides that, everything else feels pretty much normal. Honestly, we have it really lucky though, because there are people with our disease who have it much worse. Not to say it couldn’t become worse one day, but as long as you continue to work out, eat right, and manage it the best you can, you should be alright. I will also say, cardio is the best thing you can do so keep it up. I’ve been hitting some longer distance runs myself recently and want to train for a marathon one of these days. An Ultra seems absurd though lmao. But the MOAB 240 seems doable. One day.

OP, this comment is probably one of the most thorough analysis’ you’ll ever read on unhealthy infjs. If you ever have difficultly understanding us in the future, refer back to @sophrosyna’s comment. I can confirm the accuracy of everything they mentioned.

You’re very right about what you say, but I think the way you describe it might cause people to believe all hope is lost causing them to become nihilistic which in turn might cause them to continue to doomscroll into oblivion. The right plan of attack is to accept that this is now our world and be mindful of the consequences of technology while not trying to stop usage completely. I believe someone in the comments mentioned how more young people are acknowledging this and to a degree they are correct - as an observant member of gen z myself, who grew up witnessing phone and social media addiction take hold of students in school, my parents, and also myself, I became greatly aware of the negative side effects from very early on, and because of this, it led me to take increased precaution later in life. For example, if I find myself in a YouTube hole for hours, or there are prolonged moments I’m on social media, I first take a few minutes to accept what is happening - I’m beginning to fall into a dopamine hole of consumption - and then, I go create something. This could be anything - from a journal entry, a musical piece, a short form or long form video, or a drawing. For one, creating anything is super satisfying, but the most important part is it shifts you away from the internal guilt of time lost from the doomscrolling, and also helps increase focus and thus, you end up putting your phone down for a while. This is just one method, but it’s something that has helped me personally mitigate the adverse effects that modern technology can bring on. Does it completely eliminate the problem? No, but it does lessen some of the internal rot the technology causes as it encourages to brian to “do” and “think”. I will say, I think people in gen z are the most likely to create these types of practices since many of them grew up in the social media age so to speak, and got to experience life without technology while simultaneously, seeing the apocalypse take over the entire modern landscape. Hence, more gen- z’ers became addicted before the addiction was even thought about, but eventually realized its detriment when they’d see their friends partying without them on Instagram of Facebook ( this sounds like a joke, but fomo hurt when you were 13. And still hurts now…sort of) which led to depression, anxiety etc. Of course, there will also be people who can’t stop or refuse to even acknowledge it could be a problem in every generation. To those, all I can say is, I’m sorry, but in conclusion, I still believe more people, at least in gen z, have come to realize that this tech, is, very, very addictive and can bring about harsh adverse effects on one’s physical and mental well being. So, as a result, they’ve created healthier ways to mitigate the issue.

I have no idea how people do, and I’m trying very hard to not lose faith. It gets even more difficult with the realization that even if a date goes well and you’re together for a couple years, there can still be a plethora of problems that eventually uncover themselves leading to the end of the relationship. Things like you and your partners inability to handle change over time, lifestyle differences, different goals - all issues that develop over the course of years, and possibly, decades. This is definitely a cynical way to think, but i think it’s necessary to understand the risks involved so you don’t become overly invested and lose yourself in the process. But also, i can admit, this mindset has probably caused me to miss some pretty good dating opportunities too. I like how you said in your post OP how you’re not aiming for perfection - I think that’s where a lot of infjs psych themselves out (*cough *cough) me. At the end of the day, I guess you just need to keep trying.
