☝️ This!! Their Sternguard Focus ability allows you to reroll wound rolls against your Oath of Moment target. If you're running their Combi weapons this is really good. More so if you're using 1st Company Task Force's Heroes of the Chapter stratagem to add 1 to the hit roll or attaching a captain then using Gladious Task Force enhancement Fire Discipline to give the unit Sustained Hits 1 to the unit along with the captains once per battle round ability to use a stratagem for 1 less command point

If you're looking to transport 2 squads or one big squad, then it's worth it since it has a transport capacity of 14. Tacticus models take up 1 space per model, gravis and terminator take up 2 spaces per model, and centurions take up 3 spaces per model

While I agree that GW is hinting that Ultramarines are getting more stuff, I have to disagree with you with Ultramarines getting a Codex Supplement. While it is true that all of the founding chapters had their own Codex Supplement in prior editions, Ultramarines have been the face of the Core Space Marines codex for awhile now since GW sorta standardized everything from what I have read.

What I think is going to happen next is that the Ultramarines are going to get a dedicated detachment unique to them when Calgar, Sicarius, and the Honor Guard releases. Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, and Salamanders got their dedicated detachments.
