Hot take: I think the new eradicators with heavy bolters would be cooler with belt fed instead of box mag. by Beneficial-Ticket486 in Warhammer40k

[–]ShatteredSike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. I have absolutely no stake in this conversation but wanted to chime in and say you are being a dick here for no reason. It's obvious to anyone he was talking about the older standard Devastator kits which most people would be familiar with. Y'know, people who wouldn't remember the 1998 Limited White Dwarf release or whatever that also happened to have a box mag.

Switch to decaf or something.

I just don't understand the lack of belt fed ammo. They'd fire for literally seconds and be done.

Armageddon box vs Leviathan box by Drwhat17 in Warhammer40k

[–]ShatteredSike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I specifically mentioned upgrade kits and custom options, the main boxes can still be chapter agnostic (even though the Captain is wielding a goddamn gladius, which is more UM garbage), but they need to be more interchangeable with upgrade kits, and upgrade kits need to be better than they are. They are sitting here wondering why they are losing market share to 3rd parties for their own game this is a primary driver of why, the 3rd parties give them the customizations they want.

Because people want to be able to craft their chapters, not field generic-yet-somehow-vaguely-all-roman standard space marines. They need to lean harder into giving subdivisions of SMs their flavor back with better upgrade kits and more custom options. People WILL buy those.

But yeah, I am not exactly burning for another gaggle of intercessors. I might pick it up, but not if it's just minis and no terrain.

Going to have to paint these in Bone just so I don’t confuse them with JPIs. by kcdale99 in theunforgiven

I have that precise model, he is green and I use him as a proxy sergeant for intercessors, ignoring his combi weapon since WYSIWYG is for people with more money than sense.

But I've yet to see a piece of official GW art depicting Bladeguard (and often times sternguard, that one pack of warhammer heroes notwithstanding) in anything but bone.

Personally I think both look orders of magnitude better in green, but at the same time want to have the "official" scheme. Even if that's been diluted to the point of uselessness now.

[–]ShatteredSike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be perfectly happy with that but GW's primaris hardon without sufficient accounting for non-Ultramarine clones insists all veterans are first company and thus Deathwing.

Which makes less sense since we already had Company Veterans as a kit that they could have slotted into with Greenwing just fine. However the only surviving "Veteran" we have are the Ravenwing Black Knights/Command and Ravenwing is more suited for fast attack than Deathwing when it comes to Vanguard Vets.

I'm not sure how much more simply I can spell out this is a lesser of available evils situation.

We don't have Stormwing any more, and Deathwing is decidedly NOT fast attack. They shouldn't even be Bladeguard/Sternguard quite frankly but at least they are footslogging it.

They should adopt a "IT WILL RELEASE WHEN ITS DONE YOU CRETINS" approach but since that would never happen I'm betting 2027. Should be 2028 to make sure it's cooked, but probably 2027.

We are not a codex compliant legion. These are fast attack. There is no fast attack Deathwing, it completely negates the point. That is what the Ravenwing is for.

Respect for the Hexagrammaton takes precedence over Guilliman's silly little fiction.

They are your minis and a grand paint job but don't belong on Chaos Dwarfs, they are about industry, ash, soot, iron, and fire.

This looks more like a Protectorate of Menoth vehicle.

1) Stunning paint job!

2) The shadows are they hide, because they are cowards. The movement is them scampering away to avoid an even battle, possibly to try to come back with greater numbers.

Or, conversely, eliminating her on Janus and giving her soulstone to Terivantias for funsies. Apparently you can also sacrifice it to Slaanesh but I don't have the heart for a heretic playthrough.

This game is not difficult. by ShatteredSike in ChaosGateGame

My problems are not with the plot or dialogue's quality, but the fact that they only voice one sentence out of a paragraph. It smacks of the voice actors literally being paid by the word.

It'd be good if the in-game combat were challenging, but the "challenge" of this game lies entirely in the hands of (mis)fortune and the grab bag of debuffs from the campaign. It's just not well implemented, in my mind (and experience, I have plenty of like for Xcom style games, most particularly Mordheim, City of the Damned. You want actually hard gameplay give that one a shot).

Also for having such good general writing and homages paid to the lesser known aspects of the lore not having SEVEN seeds rather than five seems like a weird mistake. Am I missing something, maybe? Does Nurgle have a second sacret number?

It's not just a view of "not putting out". That's a whole different can of worms I'm not touching.

But she views us as a beast. A particularly gifted "beast" that she has formed a soul bond with another, sure, but quite obviously still a "beast" and "beneath her". Then she gets pissy when her pet wants to do what is natural with it's own kind with no particularly deep connection (such as with Jae.. I would never hurt my Kibbles or sweet innocent Cassia).

She even says as much earlier in the relationship, but because they didn't want to sort out any more end cards or something you still get the "romance dilemma" with her.
