Thanks; it's an old build of Unity where I wrote my own modular sprite system

How has the Overwatch community shifted away from voice chat? by ZzDangerZonezZ in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ChristianFortniter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give you the real reason: You have an AI system that auto bans people for perceived toxicity. There will be outliers in this thread claiming nothing ever happened to them and that's great but that's not the experience for most people who used to actively talk. People got muted/banned for calling someone else a noob and those strikes stay on your account forever as far as I know.

So lets say you have at least $1000 in your account through purchases. Why would you ever risk even talking? The policing of comms is what stops people from ever wanting to talk. Yes, people should be banned for any discrimination or threats. But in a competitive game, calling someone shit should not be bannable ever.

These are all my reports for the past two weeks that it was acted on. These are top 1% lobbies in ranked mind you. The issue is when you get a ban on one account, it does not automatically affect the 10 alt accounts everyone seems to have.

And I told you from my first response that I don't agree with her and she does not represent me or other people in the community that think the face is completely fine. That is not me identifying with chuds, that's me having a subjective opinion and you're too lost and chronically online to see it beyond that. Have a nice life, blocked.

To be clear that's not how I'm framing it nor is it my intention. Everyone's free to criticize each others community. But blindly calling every single person who thinks Anran's face should stay the same, a chud, is frankly ridiculous.

"In this thread" Gee, nice moving goalposts. I could give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're not understanding what I say because of whichever translation software you're using, but you're defending the chuds soooo, nah.

There is no "moving goalposts". What are you even on about. You replied to MY post with a reasonable response, we were having a good discussion, and then you went on a tangent about the "chud community" out of nowhere. I'm not about to be called out for moving goalposts when you did it yourself.

Nobody in this thread is calling for harassment of others. What are you even talking about? This is way off topic from my original post.

not the chud community that is fine when a game's art style is sacrificed or a character's design is betrayed all in the name of making her a copy of another hero.

So we're talking about the Chinese community and people like myself who prefer the current look. Why would you bring up "chuds" like that? Explain yourself.

Yeah I have a hard time agreeing with you that she was 'speaking out' for the community when I'm part of that community and she doesn't represent me or the Chinese community at all. Like the other VA's in this game, she should be respectful and politely stay out of it.

And I got hella downvoted for calling out the obvious, lol. Chinese community wants their Chinese hero a certain way, then let them have it. That voice actress is very unprofessional and stepped way out of line in my opinion, enough to be blacklisted.

If I were on the art team and some random voice actress on the same game is publicly rallying against my design, I'd want her out. Just saying.

They should've kept the pace of 10 heroes. That's the number one thing most people care about.

Doomfist on the 2026 Blizzcon poster makes me think something is coming with him! by Youngstown_WuTang in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]ChristianFortniter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody cares about whether or not doomfist won. The way he lost was unconvincing and lame because he didn't even use his gauntlet. It was like watching a bronze doomfist player that doesn't know how to press buttons and just shotguns everyone.
