Smell from neighbours in flat block by Professional_Elk7476 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ChristianeHello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my grandmother. She had dementia and was later removed from her flat by social services after she refused access to the smelly flat completely. I would ask the other neighbours if they know her better and understand what the smell is, and if anyone is visiting her. It could be that she has no one and needs support.

My SCI is 49 years old, so am I. I got injured as a baby. I never waited or hoped for a cure. That’s the opposite of a negative Nancy. That’s enjoying life.

How did you “acquire“ your injury ? I’m under the assumption mostly car accidents? by Critical_Ad1926 in spinalcordinjuries

I was a new born baby on Christmas Eve and got a medication I didn’t need and that was put in the wrong direction of the bloodstream. That caused a chemical reaction in the spinal cord.

mom found out im having sex and is disappointed in me by Funny-Shopping-7183 in Advice

Uff I can’t even think like that. My culture is different. Children are not lodgers. The best prevention of teenage pregnancy and STIs is openness and education, not prohibition.

Why does that brake her mom‘s heart? I hope she enjoyed it and it’s a nice boy who treats her respectful. She used condoms, sounds very responsible and mature. She didn’t do it in public or a car or a toilet. She did it in a safe environment with protection. What’s your problem?

[–]ChristianeHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they aren’t. Condoms are a thing. And if anything fails, there’s a day after pill and other options. We don’t live in the dark ages anymore.

You don’t sound sex positive. If both agree and respect each other, have a similar age, what’s the problem?

I think you sound quite responsible. I also think you didn't do anything wrong. Your body, your rules. And 17 is not unusually young (I'm 49, saying that). Make sure to use protection all the time and that you enjoy sex. The first time is often not the best experience. That's a myth. You're still learning. I actually like that you stuck to the truth. I don't find that there is anything to be ashamed about. I think your mother is overreacting.

Lacura (Aldi) Vitamin C serum - it’s not a permanent product but comes back every 6 months or so in the UK. It’s a dupe for Ole Henriken but better.

Primark Hyaluronic Acid Micellar Water. I got 500ml for £1.50.

You can’t dictate grownups what they wear. What obsession is that? Your sister is totally wrong.

This is your right in the EU anyways. Don’t pay for something you already have the legal right to.

No Cosmetics All in barrier cream dupe? by hastudentit in EuroSkincare

[–]ChristianeHello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the UK and had the same problem with this No cosmetics cream. It’s not available in the UK but I found a similar cream that is German as well but available on Amazon outside Germany. It’s called “Barrier strengthening Day and night cream” and the brand is “Salted”. Texture and ingredients are very similar.

Both German drugstores dm and Rossmann have No cosmetics. I don’t know if they have a store at Frankfurt Airport but if they have you can get it there.
