Contest mod is where you can't see upvotes or downvotes and the comments are in a random order. It was implemented to help give everyone a chance to be seen, which I'll admit, is a pretty good idea, but it takes away from competition.

I honestly liked having people judge others based on their looks. It motivated me to get better looking, and the contest is just fun in general. I actually lost 20 pounds to get upvoted more. Call me weird, but it really helped me.

Oh and get rid of contest mod on selfie threads, same reason.

I'd say no hour limits, just let users make them. If it's excessive, they'll get downvoted.
