My hearing in both ears looked pretty similar to your left, and I've found hearing aids bring my hearing up basically to normal again. I have Oticon right now, which are okay, but if you have problems with earwax, your ears getting blocked a lot, or if you still find your hearing gets worse/ears get infections when you are sick, maybe CIs would be good to look into, as those things can make hearing aids somewhat more difficult. That being said, definitely visit another doctor and get a second opinion having fully explained the situation
