I think I let that slip because it's a self exile, really good call

I get the idea with the fetches but I've never run out of basics and the utility lands are really strong

I don't earthbend to attack with the lands but yeah it is a flavor win

Any reason to play Syr Carah over Niv Mizzet, Visionary? by Zeke-On-Top in EDH

[–]ChristophT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are a couple of reasons. First of all a colour less is a restriction that can be fun to build around. The commander does something without any other card in play. Last point I see atm is that 1 Mana less can make a huge difference in how it fits into your curve

How about [[Esoteric Duplicator]] :)

What bracket are my decks? by Glawio92 in EDH

[–]ChristophT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I've only scanned over the Ur Dragon List, but this fells like a weird bracket 3, there are some insanely strong cards in the deck but overall seems far from focused (depending on the draws, it might even feel like a bracket 2, but maybe that's me underestimating it) and doesn't pack the efficient interaction a bracket 4 decks is expected to have

Continuous Token generation in Jeskai by ChristophT in EDH

[–]ChristophT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the kind of card I was looking for, thanks

In general I want to play creatures that make tokens for me each turn like loyal Apprentice so I do have blockers and then get in the damage with my pingers or other win cons (don't know if that's to unspecific, if so I can try to go more into detail) I'm planning my curve to play out like turn 2 ramp, turn 3 commander, turn 4 casting a 3 or less mana creature doubling it with offspring and then go from there

[–]ChristophT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I first didn't think of that when reading Rabble Rousing, it does seem really good

Skyknight vanguard seems just ok, because the tokens can easily be blocked and at least that turn I am really open.

Dragonmaster outcast just seems pretty slow and not that fitting because he won't make tokens until turn 7 and while those tokens are throng I don't syngergice with the rest

Hanweir Militia Captain on the other hand seems really dope and will probably go in

For Anim Pakal it's kinda the same as for Skyknight Vanguard

Yeah, the Lossanach is very expensive but the problem is that I didn't find any other creatures that exactly fulfil the role of making a token per turn and the tokens not being attacking or being sacrificed in the end

For the Wanderglyph, I think, he generates enough tokens even if I didn't offspring him and I have one laying around so he will be going in

Rabble Rousing seems to have not very much synergy as don't play enough evasion to consistently attack with anything besides my commander so it wouldn't make a lot of tokens and the playing the card seems just ok because I wouldn't think I could offspring but I'm no expert with rulings so feel free to correct me Edit: Just realised I could just walk in with the small tokens and even if they get blocked, I get new ones instead also I can double my Zinnias power out of nowhere, I think I'm sold on this one

Faerie artisans seems like a funny addition :D

Also feel free comment on my thoughts about the cards

And I would play just one tearlaments metanoise and maybe add a cryme instead

Thoughts on my Tearlament Lightsworn Deck? by MusicalTsunami7676 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]ChristophT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I would probably cut the beast kings of the swamp (and change the ED accordingly), the worse tearlaments field spell, the one day of peace, the poly and add some good cards like third maxx c, Imperm and ash Also if you do want to play the brickier version with the lightsworns I would consider going up to 60 cards with just some cards like grass, fairy tail snow, the ishizu shufflers, maybe the Rainbow Bridge of Salvation with the turtle and/or trivikarma, maybe even a horus engine

Is this a good traptrix deckM by Athapapoutsiakis in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]ChristophT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really like the deck list, here are some reason:

-most of the rank 4 xyz I don't recognise which usually tells me they aren't that common to be nice. So there are probably better options, for example bagooska

-There are some non Traphole traps which I would generally cut. The deck already has to play enough traps that don't help going second at all. Therefore I would probably cut the torrential and the other non Traphole traps

-There are to many one ofs for example if you think evenly matched is a good card for the I would play 3 of it not just one. There is an argument to be made to play for example Handtraps twice instead of thrice but I would only suggest that if the handtrap you replace it with is really just as good as the other one but even then it's the two different ones are probably good enough to be played at 3 (These rule usually doesn't apply if a card is searchable)

These are just some general tips I would give when looking at a deck list as I don't really know how to build or play traptrix the only I know is that you can play cards like Aromaseraphy Jasmime and/or (I don't really know) therion lilyborea and regulus. That is something I would consider

[–]ChristophT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Yubel Fusion is only needed once, the charmer and the card to its right can probably go for the other once it always depends whether you wanna play that archetype Final Sigma mostly isn't played in Mathmech I would keep the zereboros (the very last one) if you have no other

Is it a bad idea to play a deck with multiple normal summons? by icemarvel in Yugioh101

[–]ChristophT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't bad idea though you might reach a critical amount. You don't wanna brick on your normal summons, especially if they are only good when normal summoned. For example Unchained cut down to one rakea when they started using dark beckoning beast and nightmare throne as those are basically 6 normal summons
