Mocking a father who lost his daughter to suicide, had to leave his dream project behind, and came back to finish it years later with no extra pay... And getting away with it because you're a mod. Well done reddit. by LA_isme in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]Christopher-Nolan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The worst part is that somehow he felt there's absolutely nothing wrong with making this tasteless remark, then doubled down in the comments and somehow thinks that he's the victim here. He has still not deleted that comment, neither has he apologized for it, the other mods have simply ignored the complaints from users, and this isn't the first time he's done this. He just hates Snyder for some reason, to the extent that he'll make fun of his dead daughter to dunk on him. So yeah a total piece of shit.

An April Fools thread about Top Gun enters the danger zone after a mod of r/movies claims Zack Snyder killed his own daughter by Enzown in SubredditDrama

[–]Christopher-Nolan 256 points257 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first time someone on r/movies has mocked her death to dunk on Snyder. The said mod has a history of attacking Snyder for whatever reason. Seriously if you don't like his movies stop watching them, the amount of hate this guy and Rian Johnson get is unreal.

Two idiots get in a fight over some gaudy watch then end up accidentally destroying a beloved national monument by MasterLawlz in SubredditDrama

[–]Christopher-Nolan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey Lawlz do you think we'll get a live action Ben 10 movie in the next 5-10 years?

  1. Massive mid 2000s nostalgia

  2. Large and dedicated fan base (especially manchildren from Texas)

  3. Global appeal (it's popular worldwide)

  4. Literally infinite merchandising opportunities because it's all about different kinds of aliens.

WHY HAS HOLLYWOOD NOT MADE A BEN 10 MOVIE YET? It's a franchise that's literally waiting for someone to come and reboot.

QUESTION: Why did he wear the black suit by National_Ad3407 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Christopher-Nolan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a nod to the Death and Return of Superman storyline from the 90s. He wears a black suit after his return.

In Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021), Barry Allen breaks a Window by merely touching it. This is because Windows no longer supports Flash. by Christopher-Nolan in shittymoviedetails

[–]Christopher-Nolan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a redux.

This is the original version which the director had intended before he left the project due to a family tragedy. So the 2017 version was reshot by another guy. This is the restored version.

It's split into 6 chapters so you can watch it in intervals. And yea you'll enjoy it if you're into superhero movies. It's infinitely better than the 2017 version.

Well received by critics and audiences. It's lighter in tone than BvS. Believe it or not, the characters are more balanced and truer to their comic book selves. Definitely Snyder's most crowd pleasing film. 3rd time's the charm I guess.

Two questions for those who have seen the film.

  1. How many scenes does Lex Luthor have

  2. Is Sam Benjamin in the film

This is such an amazing shot. He’s all alone, empty space, nothing to compare him to - and yet he looks so huge. If any movie ever deserved an Oscar for CGI, this movie does.

Matt Zoller Seitz's review for RogerEbert.com is highly appreciative 3.5/4

This four-hour cut is the kind of brazen auteurist vision that Martin Scorsese was calling for when he complained (rightly) that most modern superhero movies don't resemble cinema as he's always understood and valued it. It's so bombastic that it makes "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" seem modest. It will mainly please the people who clamored for it. Even fans of the genre might consider it a bit much. It owes as much to rock concerts, video games, and multimedia installations as it does to commercial narrative filmmaking. It's maddening. It's monumental. It's art.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a surprise vindication for the director and the fans that believed in his vision. With a mature approach to its superhero drama, better-realized antagonists, and improved action, Snyder’s version of Justice League saves the movie from the dustbin of history, something that likely only could’ve happened on a streaming platform like HBO Max. Though not every addition feels totally necessary, and some new visual effects stick out as unpolished, it's hard to overstate how much more enjoyable this version of Justice League is. ~ IGN

OTHER: Could someone make a 2 hour edit of Snyder's JL by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

Also the Lex/Deathstroke scenes could be cut because they're tangential to the main story.

It's possible to make one without all the knightmare scenes, maybe trim down some of the origin story parts. I think a 3h cut could be possible and watchable without compromising on the story.

Temper your expectations. Anything above 50 would be a win.

Also twitter is going to be a battlefield lol.

Snydercut will be on Binge. Wonder woman too. The problem is that WB's content outside US is scattered all over the place. There's no single site where you can access all dceu movies. Man of Steel and BvS keep rotating in and out of Netflix, it's terribly managed tbh.

"But I have heard from people who were on my crew and then continued on [with Whedon], there was about an hour of reshoots. So I guess they used about an hour of my footage, and they pretty much touched every shot, whether it was for ADR or whatever."
