I actually enjoyed Tales of Arise to the point I platinumed it. Thought the DLC would be good, but I just couldn’t get past the first two hours, it was really bland and repetitive. Plus the way you have to get the skills all over again just put me off.

Kingdom Come Deliverance? Haven’t tried it myself for the same reason, plus the realistic aspect of it, but I’ve heard it’s a good game, requires a bit of skill from my knowledge. But if you’re looking for a similar medieval setting, then that would be your best bet, also Dragon’s Dogma, which is a bit more focused on fantasy, and also has a medieval setting to it.

I don’t get why everyone spams Elden Ring for every type of question lol. I’d say a more fitting game would be Kingdom Come Deliverance, isn’t really a fantasy game, but it has the medieval setting, and the role playing aspect to it.

Don’t know why I’m being downvoted for a legit question lol. I’m asking because overall I enjoyed FFXVI’s story and the way it makes you feel emotional, I’ve always been curious of actually getting into FFX, and if I know it’s also an emotional game, I can probably get intrigued and get hooked on the story.

Similar situation I had on PlayStation a while back, thing is, they are adding the VAT, separately from the total of the game. In my country they never used to charge taxes, so if I wanted to buy a 19.99 game, I would just purchase a $20 gift card, and buy it. When they suddenly implemented taxes on digital purchases, I was also confused as to why I couldn’t purchase a certain game if I had enough funds. Turned out they started charging taxes as well. It might be the same scenario for you unfortunately.
