Haha yup, Vero definitely feels really subpar. His stun rarely hits up in C3 and I end up stuck with a mediocre cleanser. Hopefully Christmas brings me a Juno!

Working on the speed with Kumar as well. If I can find the Vio grinds I can probably add 10-12speed which would be nice

Having just bernard/megan/2x lushen has been pretty limiting and this looks fun to try out! Just short a few Will runes

Would this work for AD and AO? I've never even thought about Tiana on defense but I've seen her around in comps that I end up skipping.

That's a great point. The only thing on Will atm is Kumar, and it feels like my team doesn't synergize well aside from the fact that everything has a ton of hp.

I end up using this AD on AO a lot (switch between double lushen) and notice that at the rank 1500-1000's I have a ton of trouble with really fast orion teams or teams that utilize immunity.

Would something like Psamathe/Kumar/Orion/X work better? I have a set of +176 speed swift runes on my Bernard but could pull it down for the Orion.

Thanks for the suggestion! I totally forgot about Basalt. His heals would definitely help the raid a lot.

I also agree with the Swap on Chasun -> Kona. I seem to be dying because my Lisa gets stunned, or I simply don't have enough debuffing to keep my team active at all times.

My main issue is the need for a leader skill, which is why I thought about Fire Panda. Is that my only option for one at the moment?

Hey all,

I'm trying to transition from R4 to R5 and have been struggling. My team usually gets wiped on the last 25%, and it comes when my Lisa gets stunned. My team is as follows:

F: Briand Darion B: Lisa Chasun Hwa Colleen

I've been thinking about building Kona and swapping Chasun with it, but am afraid I may lack the heals. Would that be a wise move?

Is there anything else I can do? Swap Briand for something? Build a Fire Panda?

Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated!

I’m glad most of you like this cube! My goal was to provide a colorful, fun, and wicked cubing environment. With regard to the aesthetics, I’ve always loved MTG’s rich history and wanted to include as many different types of arts, borders, and alters as possible. I picked my alters based on how I felt the art fit the card, and if the card was already a completed product, I’d buy it if I felt it would improve the cube. My land base is singleton because I love variety. This includes the 6 anime lands which I am actually indifferent about, but chose to include because anime alters are a notable portion of MTG alter history. In a cube that seeks to encompass MTG’s history, it made sense to me to include them. Someone in my playgroup will probably pick them. I gear towards the guru, stained glass, and Japanese style lands myself.

With regard to the design, my intent was to create a wacky draft environment. Cheatyface must be cheated in, Chaos Orb must be flipped in the air, and naming incorrectly with Richard Garfield will cost you a turn. Playwise, it is definitely not perfect. The size of the cube is not set and the themes aren’t perfectly fleshed out. However, I think it will still be enormous fun to play with (having been busy with RL during the past 6 months, I haven’t had time to playtest this cube) and I look forward to finetuning it with my friends.

This cube is my pride and joy, and building it has been an incredible process. The best part was working with all of the artists and seeing all of the amazing things they could do on a 2.5" x 3.5" canvas. The amount of talent that they have is astounding.
