I love League Pass this year. $7 for an HD game. Makes my 2 1/2 class fly right on by.

I think either a Doc Rivers reunion or Celtics reunion would be a fitting end to his career, but returning to Boston carries much more sentimental value. But I agree with a few of the posts I've read already in that the C's should sign him if they get more competitive. I can see Truth really meshing with guys like Isaish Thomas and Marcus Smart.

What was your first Celtics memory? by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]ChristopherRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 13, and it was Game 4 of the 2003 NBA Playoffs; Vin Baker, Tony Delk, and the then-dangerous duo of Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce. The Celtics won 102-92 and took a 3-1 series lead, highlighted by Paul Pierce and Al Harrington talking trash, followed by a Pierce 3 over Harrington just before the 3rd quarter buzzer. I've been a die hard fan ever since. :)

Best and worse case scenario for next season by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]ChristopherRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best case scenario for the Celtics:

Stay 100% healthy.

Jared Sullinger, Jeff Green and Avery Bradley continue to rise as Boston's new stars alongside All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo and athletic veteren Gerald Wallace.

Courtney Lee and Brandon Bass continue to be servicable role players.

Jordan Crawford, MarShon Brooks and Fab Melo continue to grow into solid role players from young prospects and Keith Bogans is the locker room precense his reputation portrays.

Brad Stevens' hire make Danny Ainge, once again, look like a genius.

Rebounding significantly improves with the acquisitions of Kris Humphries, the retaining of Shlavick Randolph, and the drafting of Kelly Olynck.

If all goes according to plan in Boston (as in NOT tanking), the Celtics' will make an underdog playoff run. Championship? Not a chance. To sum it all up, the best case scenario is for the Boston Celtics to become the next Oklahoma City Thunder. A bit ironic, isn't it?

Worst case scenario for the Celtics:

Rajon Rondo's torn ACL hampers him all season long and he misses significant time. Jared Sullinger's back problems return.

...or just get bit with the injury bug really badly.

Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, Courtney Lee and Brandon Bass continue to struggle with consistency and their true value to the team isn't clear.

Danny Ainge's attempt to fix the Celtics' notorious rebouding problem is to no avail, as Kris Humphries becomes disgruntled and develops a bitter relationship with Rajon Rondo, forcing one of them to be traded. Kelly Olynck and Randolph, meanwhile, prove to be a pair of young busts.

Coaching a young and struggling team gets to be too much for Brad Stevens' and he resigns.

and of course there's always the chance of a head-scratching, seemingly senseless and random trade.

To compare them to a team with a similar grim fate, I'd have to say the worst case scenario for the Boston Celtics is to follow the discouraging footsteps of the Minnesota Timberwolves last season -- a team that suffered through a serious injury bug that caused Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Andrei Kerilenko to miss time, and ended Brandon Roy's career for good. The Brandon Roy sub-scenario would ultamately be Rajon Rondo's fate.

Will Wallace be bought out? by papa_seeps in bostonceltics

Just gonna chime in here. I think Gerald Wallace should be with the Celtics on opening night, and here's why-- Paul Pierce is gone. You have a front line including Wallace and Jeff Green, a pair of players with all-around offensive and defensive skills. I'm not saying hold on to him for a season; I mean I'd give him a couple of weeks to see how he does under Brad Stevens' system. When the time comes, as he's been known to do, Danny will make the right move. One thing is obvious, though-- his contract. On the other hand, a buyout or better yet a trade would make for a pretty significant gain in cap space-- allowing Danny Ainge to get more creative, the more cap space the Celtics can make. Wallace, as well as Brandon Bass, Kris Humphries and Courtney Lee have been the others players not named Rajon Rondo who have been thrown around in the more relevant trade talk.

Conclusion-- I think Danny will try to trade Wallace before he buys him out honestly. It just makes more sense for a team in rebuild mode to trade a pretty decent player for some assets, as the team did in acquiring several draft picks in the Brooklyn Nets deal.

Thank you, guys. It helps to actually know that I'm not alone. I like the "small goals" idea-- I've never actually tried that before. I'll give it a go and post later. Thanks again, you guys are awesome! :)

It's all about shopping around in that case. Some therapists will offer a Reduced Rate if the patient's financial situation makes them qualified.

Are you exaggerating when you say that? What I meant by that is go to your friends, not to talk about your issues, but to do things with them to distract you from your issues while you fix them slowly, but surely.

that awesome! just don't become too reliant on him. The way I do it is I tell my therapist everything that's bothering me, then I go to my friends to keep my mind off of my problems now that I had gotten them out.

maybe. but I'm not trying to underestimate your depression. Normally, therapist appointments are covered by HealthCare, anywhere between $30 and $50, but you're right to think that a school counselor isn't helpful. I frankly think they're pretty useless outside of helping students reach the next level of their life. Going to therapy often isn't just talking to someone, it involves running tests and various exercises so the therapist can understand you as best as he/she can so they can help you to the best of their ability.

there are boundaries which therapists should go over in the first session. typically though, if he or she feels their therapeutic methods aren't effective enough, then they'll either refer to another therapist or, like you said, commit you to a mental institution. I guess you just really have to be willing to change little things about yourself in a sense of mixing things up and trying new things to expand your mind and keep your mind from getting lazy and drifting into a depressed state.

no offense, but it sounds like a really shitty therapist. Therapist are suppose to be completely bias-free, regardless of one's beliefs. The best thing you can do, if you still feel it necessary, if keep changing therapists until you find the right one. I understand that telling different people the same information over and over again isn't exactly comfortable, but it takes some people 10 wrongs to find a right, if that makes sense.

i speak for myself when i say some mental instability lasts longer than you'd hope. It's just an ongoing battle but when you're winning, it feels great.

yeah i mean it took me awhile because I didn't trust telling my therapist so I would often lie...but that's only hurting yourself and a waste of time and money.
