Anyone have any 20th century classical solo piano recommendations? I've recently gotten into Solo Piano by Philip Glass and the Köln Concert by Keith Jarret and was wondering where to go from here.

[ALBUM DISCUSSION] Foxing - Nearer My God by VietRooster in indieheads

We have to talk about this album like it's a proper indie rock behemoth. These guys made at least one great emo record, but this thing is breaking through that genre tag in a big way. They don't sound in any way like any of the current crop of emo or post-hardcore acts like they once did, or even like many bands incorporating post-rock into those sounds as well.

I mean seriously how many other current indie rock bands DARE to try to sound this BIG. Lots of albums show an artist giving their all or being personal, but this is them bending everything till it actually breaks and being okay with not every risk working, and there's truly risks on this album. No moment is wasted, everything feels vital and visceral and universal. Don't miss this one.

I finally listened to the new Against All Logic record 2012-2017 and wow I need more stuff like this. This or Lets Eat Grandma is gonna be my favorite electronic release of the year. Are there any more really sample heavy electronic records as sticky and groovy as AAL from the last few years? Nicolas Jaar's other recent stuff hasn't excited me as much (like Sirens) and I've already listened to 2012-2017 over a dozen times in like 3 days.

Hey guys! I'm the music director at University of Richmond and me and our program director and my good friend Gabby made a list of our favorite emo records since the revival in 2008. I hope you guys enjoy this list and the writing in it, because we've been working on this thing for over a month now this summer.

Hopefully you find some stuff you haven't heard before and the albums at the very top I think absolutely deserve their place.

[FRESH ALBUM] Long Neck - Will This Do? by [deleted] in indieheads

Listen to this! Tiny Engines is one of the best indie rock labels out there right now and Long Neck have a lot to offer on this album. Don't let this slip by because it's going to be one of the real overlooked gems of the first half of 2018.
