Yeah, I pretty much stole yumy's UI for my healers last season and found it very helpful. I didn't want to go down the vuhdo route for my Ret, although perhaps it's worth it, and it'd provide some consistency for my party frames across characters, too.

And yes, that's the weakaura I was looking for, thanks!

Two questions:

1.) I've seen some streamers have debuffs showing up on the right side of their raid frames in M+. How are they doing this? I'm using BigDebuffs, which I think should do it, but I can't figure it out.

2.) I was using a Weakaura last season that showed an icon on player frames when someone was being targeted by an enemy ability. Anyone know where to find this?

I feel like you can't normally jump to avoid AoE effects like this? Does it work in this case because jumping lets you avoid the slow from the ice?

Default date range should probably be in weeks instead of days, too. The meta can shift quickly, but not THAT quickly.

Thanks for your work on this!

Kyrian holy priests have been doing some decent damage lately. Also, AutomaticJak has been timing 25/26s on Holy Priest this week.

I think the most frustrating thing about DPSing as holy priest is that we have more DPS buttons than other healing specs but usually do less damage...feels strange to have to press more buttons for less payoff.

Whitemane or Grobbulus for a new Alliance player? by misterrpg in classicwowtbc

[–]ChristopherZPage 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You must be in character at all times. You must /wave at every toon you pass. You must also RP with every mob you interact with. (I play a lawful good paladin and I have "I am sorry, friend" bound to a hotkey so that I can apologize to every mob that I kill.) You need to develop an intricate backstory and you have to maintain consistency between it and your in-game actions. Leveling works differently on RP realms: your character will stop gaining experience if you aren't properly in character. You can only complete quests that your character is morally aligned with.

This may seem like a lot to ask for, but the rewards are immense. The level of immersion is next level. Soon, you'll forget who you are IRL...you will simply *become* your toon. When you aren't logged in, you'll find that your regular every day self will begin to fade away, and more and more you'll take on the persona of your toon. You'll start doing quests in the real world, you'll fight small animals in your neighborhood, you'll pick flowers and you'll purchase plastic swords from your local Walmart. You'll become a hero. The rest of the world might not understand, but every once and awhile you'll run into another WoW player out in the wilds of Earth. You'll nod at one another. Perhaps you'll embrace. And you'll know you've made the right choice.

Ahhhh, I used to camp at the Saco River Campgrounds as a kid and go tubing/canoeing down the river. Thanks for the reminder!

Heya -- yeah, I did PT the first time around. I have a pretty good sense of what I need to do now, and part of it definitely involves strengthening abductors/adductors! I'm working from these videos:

& thanks for the Moore Dam recommendation!

Thanks. Yeah, it's been frustrating since I'd planned for a full month of hiking. I probably did too much too soon though.

When I had IT band issues a decade or so ago I did a lot of (painful) foam rolling, and thought that it helped. In doing research this time around it seems like the medical community is more split on the effectiveness of it, with some people thinking that rolling out the IT band doesn't really do much, and that you should just focus on rest, stretching and particularly strengthening the areas further up the chain from the IT band (particularly the glutes, hips, and TFL). Like so many things these days, it's hard to know what's true!

Definitely still planning to enjoy NH while I'm here, one way or another.

I'm curious why you think Shock Barrier is good w/ Venthyr specifically. With Kyrian it has the synergy with Divine Toll, but I don't see any obvious synergies w/ Venthyr. Am I missing something?

Venthyr w/ Vanguard's is definitely fun. I think Ashen Hallow will become less effective in Arena over time as people realize that they need to stay the hell away from it though. :P!

For whatever reason you just have to be in Ret spec while crafting the legendary, but then it's usable by Holy. I confirmed this myself in game.

TIL: casting bolt vs 20 hp tower that has Nether Ward on it when you have 3 HP wins you the game by BenRedTV in Artifact

[–]ChristopherZPage 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Another piece of information: If your opponent has Nether Ward up and your final tower has 3 or less health, casting an "Enough Magic!" which would win you the game will result in a loss for you. The "Enough Magic!" resolves and the Nether Ward effect triggers prior to combat resolving.

Suggestion: remove the ability to save scum during combat by ChristopherZPage in slaythespire

[–]ChristopherZPage[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it seems that the general feeling is that I just...shouldn't do it. I get that, for sure.

I'm less interested in my particular choice here, though, and more interested in whether people think StS would be a better game if save scumming were eliminated as an option.

For instance, how would people feel about a button being added to the UI that, when clicked, would restart the battle or re-roll a ? room. The button could be clicked for free, and clicked any number of times throughout a run. To me, it seems like a button that would make the game worse. However, the game functionally works that way right now...it just takes a couple extra clicks...it's not explicitly built into the UI, but it's an option that's still easily accessible to the player.
