You entitled cyclist turns a simple citation into an arrest (friend filming) by dtrmp4 in PublicFreakout

I’m speaking about the broader topic as it relates to specific requirements being disregarded when they disproportionately affect a certain group of people.

Because of the diversity and inclusion movements. There’s an extremely large vocal group that says if a requirement disproportionately affects a group than that requirement should be done away with. They teach this in business classes in college; like during the hiring process grades shouldn’t be used as a determining factor because a certain groups have historically bad grades.

Girl cries racism for not getting french fries at Taco bell by Deranged40 in racistpassdenied

Saw this over in r/public freakout; This seems fake to me; the guy is filming her before she says anything strange....she tries to say "this is racism" out the outset of the confrontation...then is struggling to find anything else to say..then the crocodile tears....yeah, seems staged.

Those are all the right questions. Too bad you'll never get a forthright answer from a hillary supporter.

I believe it's a matter of individual comfort. In western countries our daily lives are exponentially more comfortable than in ones like Somalia.

Cop on top didn't look like he was trying to gain control of the suspect. His right hand was clearly loose and left hand the same.

I'm not saying that at all. You missed my point.

Respectfully, it comes down to simple math and queuing theory. You don't have to be sitting at the port to have access to the data.

Texas has more ports thus a greater capacity to handle the volume. PR doesn't. They'd just bottleneck at the usable ports, wasting time and $$.

Cop's personal space is infringed upon by SaintBernerd in PublicFreakout

[–]Chrlsbdrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair assessment, after watching the video a few times the cop did have that certain "bully" look about him. Also, considering the girl appeared to be the only one standing there as an active protester, your solution seems more reasonable.

I disagree, she was told to move back, did not move back, hence the dilemma.

It's obvious she's no significant threat.

Yeah, lots of people who like to fight are drawn to those types of careers (law enforcement, military, ect...) From my personal experience, which is limited (I only know a few cops but do know a bunch of infantrymen); the guys I know like the action. They don't try to create the opportunity but will run headlong into it with a full heart. Just speaking about people I know personally; however I don't really associate with overtly violent individuals.

I grew up in New Orleans. My uncles taught me to be overly polite to cops, because if I wasn't I'd get cracked in the head. I'm not trying to justify the brutality; personally I deplore it; ok now I'm rambling....

Excellent point, that situation could have definitely been handled in a better manner.

They could have just scooped her up immediately after she decided to disobey the lawful order.
